What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Brian Whalley - Verified booking

The property was in dire need of a facelift. Plus the fixtures and fitttings were below our usual expectations. The main problem were the beds. Extremely old and totally uncomfortable. I tried to sleep on the sofa one night but it was too short being only a 2 seater. We slept on top of 2 eiderdowns in our own sleeping bags and still found the bed hard and lumpy. The mattress was thin and springs could be felt inside and the base was as old as the arc. Overall I couldn't wait to get home for a decent nights sleep. The tv in the property is small and old with a poor quality picture and poor sound quality. The wifi, on the other hand, was good. We loved Brighton but would not stay in the same property and would not recommend it to anyone. We have used ypur company before when we stayed in Saundersfoot. That property was great. However we feel we have been let down with this current rental plus it was nearly double the price of Saundersfoot. This means, by default, that we would hesitate to use your company again as we assume that you would vet all properties you advertise for rental. This particular property is well below standard. Finally, the cooker extractor fan needs to be replaced. It smells, is rusty and is obviously well past its sell by date. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you have asked for honest feedback.

Our second visit here, great location for buses, supermarket, cafe, marina, beach. Lovely place, garden front patio area catches the sun in the morning. We had to come back to do and see things we didn't have time for before. Car boot Sunday morning at the Marina, Snoopy's and the North Road market area on Saturday, and the Flea Market in Kemptown. Buskers at the Brighton Music Hall on the seafront, hot fish rolls. Will need to come back - still haven't done the crazy golf! We had a lovely stay at Sandpipers which was a great location for a larger family visiting Brighton. With a few tweaks this good property could be great. We stayed during a heatwave and found it very difficult to sleep in the stuffy upstairs bedroom and really needed a way to cool it down e.g. fans. There is a small sky light which helps a little with ventilation but as it is partially over the bed we also got rained on during the night on occasion! The area is quite hilly and the drive down to the house is steep (hence we didn't even try to park on it) so not suitable for some guests with mobility issues. Ovingdean however is lovely and peaceful and a great location for walks above Brighton and into Woodingdean with some lovely views to take in.

    • Mr Andrew Jenkins - Verified booking

We found the location perfect for us - in a very quiet secluded spot quite close to the seafront and about a mile and a half away from the town. The allocated parking space in a gated secure area behind the house was great. The place was very clean and mostly very comfortable. For the price paid it is good value. We knocked off some points for as follows. Some of the information at the property does differ a little from the instructions recieved. The info at the property also differs from what actually is in place regarding keys. The heating control screen wasn't working when we looked when the heating was supposed to come on. The double bed mattress was uncomfortable. Otherwise we really enjoyed the stay and would rebook with the company.

Property in great location for buses, supermarket, cafe, beach, not that far from the marina but location was quiet. £5 daily bus rover ticket the best way to get about, every 8 minutes from the local stop near the supermarket, and evening and weekends still frequent service. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed. Patio out front catches the sun in the morning. Brilliant for buses, supermarket, cafe and beach! Great to have secure off road parking. Very quiet while we were there. The patio at the front catches the sun in the morning.. Sofa comfortable and a good size - one of the things we look for - after a hard days sightseeing we need a comfy seat. Very cosy and easy to change the temperature on the central heating.
