Very comfortable well equipped property, with fabulous views.
The kitchen had great equipment for cooking, the only thing missing was some mugs to drink from. Perhaps I drink a cup of tea quicker than some people - but for me a cup is not big enough :-) We heard strange noises a couple of nights and thought someone was upstairs, but after reading the guest book we saw that someone else had worked out it was the chairs on the uneven balcony surface rocking back and forth in the wind! It honestly sounded like someone was bouncing a ball on the ceiling. It didn't keep me awake but I did wonder what it was until I read the guest book. Might be worth putting something under the chair legs to even them out, or at least warn people of this in the notes so they can move the chairs at night if it bothers them (only happens when it is windy). Some of the instructions in the folder seemed out of date - there was reference to a separate parking area which I can only imagine used to be where the next door property now sits - the description just didn't make sense - we spent quite a lot of time looking for this as we had 2 cars and the turning area in front of the property is very tight. Leaving instructions were also a bit confusing - the folder info said a padded envelope would be provided and to put this in a letterbox by the gate, but I couldn't see where that was, and the email instructions seemed to indicate the key should go back where we got it from (in the key safe), so I just did that. The hot tub was brilliant and we used it a lot - my only comment there is that it would have been nice to have a robe for everyone in the property, rather than just 4 - it is supposed to sleep 7 and we were 6 adults so all using the hot tub, and in March the robes were much appreciated for those who had them! All in all, this is a lovely property in a great location, and we would return. My comments are just small points for improvement to make it even better.

Great property + great location = great holiday.
The three adults plus two small dogs in our party all have a great time here. Seaview was spotlessly clean on our arrival and had some nice personalised touches that we appreciated. We found the kitchen/dining area a little "compact" but it wasn't a problem as we worked around this easily enough and anyway, it was more than compensated for by the large and comfortable lounge. The bedrooms were well furnished, comfortable and had a good storage space. Worth mentioning that the kitchen was particularly well equipped with all manner of pots, pans, casseroles, knives, dishes etc. There were even two different kinds of vegetable peeler! The nominated parking spaces were a bonus too. Located at the end of a private road, Seaview was quiet yet had amazing panoramic views of the sea that were captivating whether sunny or stormy. It's 50m above sea level so there's a bit of a climb back up from Coverack itself or the small (and almost private) Porthbeer Cove with its mixture rocky/sandy beach. Its only 700m (not the mile quoted in the Sykes listing) by footpath to the lovely Coverack harbour with the excellent (if somewhat pricey) Lifeboat chippie and Paris Hotel. Good coast path walks in both directions right from the door. We toured the area a bit. We enjoyed Loe Bar and Porthleven in rough weather â these can be accessed from car parks in the north of Loe Bar or the NT Penrose Estate. The Spingo beer at the Blue Anchor in Helston was as good as I remember it from 40 years ago and the walk around Lizard Point excellent and sparsely populated once you got 200m from the car parks! Note that Seaview's location is nowhere near that indicated on the Sykes mapping. Exceeded expectations.

Both pros and cons to this cottage! One of the twin mattresses was awful and needs replacing immediately, it creaks and groans and you can feel every spring. It was really uncomfortable & noisy! Under the twin beds hadn’t been dusted or mopped. Pans are no longer non stick & should be replaced. Bed runners (twin) were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned between guests. Pills (twin) are flat & need replacing. Double bed was too short for a man of 6’ 2”. However, the cottage is excellently located, a 16-minute walk to Padstow town centre. It was very convenient to have parking spaces as parking in Padstow itself looks a nightmare. We had a delivery from Sainsbury but there is a Tesco up the road. Hob is induction which is far better than the electric you find in most holiday cottages! Plenty of plates & glasses etc although we had to wash them on arrival. Lots to do in Padstow, it’s a really good location for a couples or family holiday. We also did a 5km walk from the town, and walked to St George’s Cove, from the cottage. Just be warned, if you have a child, every stair & upstairs floorboard creaks; it was impossible to ‘creep’ out having got my daughter to sleep without waking her. There is a downstairs single but it’s right next to the lounge area so not great for noise, plus from a safety perspective I don’t like having a child downstairs with adults upstairs. All in all, a decent stay, but could have been so much better with a few small tweaks and a bit more care, especially considering what it cost.

What a lovely place to stay.
The cottage was clean, well stocked with all the equipment we might need both in the kitchen and living room where there was a selection of books, games and dvds alongside lots of tourist information leaflets. I spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the front bedroom out to sea. The cottage is set in a beautiful background with well maintained gardens around it and lots to explore. The nearby sculpture park is a nice easy stroll away, free to go around and dog friendly. We spent a lot of time walking along the coastal path exploring, swimming in the sea and watching seals on the rocks. There is a beach at low tide only 10 minutes walk away. Coverack is a beautiful village with a large dog friendly beach, good essential food shop, cafe, pub, chippy and restaurants. This is a good place to stay with lots nearby to do and also lots a short drive away. We felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived with the gift of some lovely cookies a pack of playing cards and a beautiful local card with a message on it left by the owners. Definitely will be going back. Loved every minute there.
