    Helford Holiday Cottages

Nestling into the curves of West Cornwall's stunning Lizard Peninsula, the sleepy fishing village of Helford offers a peaceful holiday in gorgeous nature. Rolling hills and swathes of woodland provide a backdrop, while across the estuary the village of Helford Passage is hazy in the distance. Choose from romantic holiday homes with hot tubs or large dog-friendly cottages, with enclosed gardens that are perfect for Fido and the whole family. We even have luxury farmhouses with swimming pools for a special treat or ground floor bedrooms if accessibility is a priority. Whether it's a short break or a two-week stay, with our large range you're guaranteed availability year round.

Our friendly customer service team is always on hand to help with your holiday research, with knowledge that extends from cottages with panoramic sea views, to the best local pub - the magical Ferryboat Inn is top of our list here in Helford. • Mrs Reina Schaffer - Verified booking

Beautiful cottage fab locations just some of the equipment out of date or unable to use and house not really suitable for older/less mobile people. Leak from shower caused flood in kitchen which had to be mopped up. Had an issue with the heating system. After a very long telephone call with owner decided it was best to override the nest system. Leaflets for washer and dryer both out of date ie not the right ones so couldn't use dryer as just kept getting an error message and didn't want to call again. Noise from upstairs shower was extremely loud when in use. Not really suitable for my elderly parents because of all the steps, my mum fell in the upstairs shower on 1st day (step from shower into rest of bathroom) as she was holding all her shower things as nowhere in shower to put them except on the floor. Used downstairs shower after but it was a harsh lesson learnt.

Ah the cottage had a strong smell of damp, the wall in the living room was bulging, assuming due to hidden damp within the wall. The master bedroom mattress is disgusting, I noticed it when stripping the bed as requested on the last day. The mattress appeared to be as old as the old bed frame, my skin has been crawling ever since. The dining room is very nice, and the bathroom is to a high standard. In short, the location is beautiful although somewhat remote (which is to be expected), the cottage is very nice, but requires attention to: (i) Fresh paint (ii) Living room smell, wall and/or damp requires attention (iii) The master bedroom mattress is absolutely vile. It is a shame that these negative points have shaped our reason never to return to this cottage. To be honest it has put us off using cottages again, I think we’ll stick to nice hotels in future.

Having just returned from our week at Well Too, Helford, I thought I would let you know our thoughts on this delightful cottage. It has to be the best cottage we’ve ever stayed in, both here in the UK and in France. The quality of the household linen, towels and furniture was exceptional and the house was spotless. The kitchen was an absolute joy. I’ve never seen so many pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils in a holiday cottage before (with the exception of a butter dish - there didn’t seem to be one!) – all of which were of good quality. When we arrived at the cottage, there was no indoor clothes airer, but there was a tumble drier so probably not needed, but one magically appeared on the doorstep midway through the week!

Great location, right opposite the shipwright arms pub (which cannot be missed) and next to the village shop. Lots of places to walk locally or places to go & explore Cornwall. For ease of turning around would recommend parking nearer the bridge and walking 2 mins to the cottage but there is parking right outside. Cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Really warm and toastie and very clean. The cottage was more spacious than I was expecting which was great but as expected mind your head if you’re tall. Cannot fault, would love to come back and would highly recommend!!!

Well too in Helford Cornwall was an absolutely delightful place. Such a beautiful cottage with ample room for all of us. Set in such a beautiful tranquil location on the estuary. Back garden was very steep, and the views from the different tiers were amazing. Probably not great for older dogs ours is partially blind, but she climbed upto the grass section, and after a few goes she was used to it. The terrace at the front was my favourite place of a morning with a coffee... the views are just beautiful.. and Mr Robin would join me every morning for a biscuit. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful place.
