What our customers say about their holidays

    • Robert - Verified booking

It was a lovely cottage, well furnished, smart and homely, very clean, tidy and pleasant.

We enjoyed the overall experience and the hosts were excellent. We were greeted with 2 fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, greatly enjoyed. We only had a couple of minor issues, we discovered early on that a frequently used country road backs directly onto the house and therefore traffic noise was often. Being a snorer I slept in the single bed in the side room while my partner stayed in the double bed. She found the double too soft while I found the single too hard, however I don't class this as a complaint because everybody has there own preference. The other very minor point was in the single bed room there was no bedside cabinet so I just temporarily moved one of the two beside the double bed and returned it to its original place on leaving. We found the kitchen good and with everything you needed for a stay, the dining/lounge/TV area was great and the sofa particularly comfortable. Heating was all you needed, the shower was great as was the wash basin in the nicely decorated bathroom. Perhaps a small consideration would be blackout material on the stairwell curtains and single room. The overall decor was really lovely and made staying feel like home from home. And the surrounding countryside was refreshing too.

The glamping pod we stayed in was superb, modern and very clean.

The location in the grounds of the pub was great. Also as a base for touring and visiting areas around Cornwall was ideal.Overall nothing to complain about or fault. Just one thought that would have been handy for us and maybe other dog owners is a gate that could be fitted on the entrance to the pods so our dog could have a little roam around without worrying about him getting out into car park. This is not a complaint just maybe a suggestion. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend and we may well return. Steve,Jane & Albe

We were made extremely welcome by our hosts Steve and Ann during our stay.

The milk and cream tea in the fridge upon arrival was much appreciated after having spent a day at the nearby Eden Project. As for Covid 19 procedures we could not fault the time and effort put in before our arrival and felt very safe and secure in Woodside Barn. The accommodation had everything we could possibly need including fantastic views across the valley including the cows in the field. The property is very central to touring this beautiful part of Cornwall and was just the tonic we needed during these difficult times.

This is the 4th time my partner and I have stayed at Polgooth Inn Glamping, we have stayed in all the pods, (Barry, Sam, Vic) and every stay has been an absolute Joy!

. The Glamping Pods are maintained to the highest standards, always spotlessly clean, our every need is catered for. The bed linen, duvet, pillows are always clean and so comfy as are the towels, always soft and fresh smelling, lovely shower. They add lovely little touches, like fresh ground coffee, tea bags and leave fresh milk in the fridge. The views are to die for!! and the peace and quiet is so welcome. We normally eat every night in the Polgooth Inn (30 seconds from your pod!) And the food is first class!

Firstly, it would have been useful if the address had been complete i.

      E. 19 Cormorant Drive. I spent half an hour looking for a property that matched the Annexe photo until the proprietor saw me crawling along the whole street and came to my rescue. Had he not, I would have failed to find the property. Most unsatisfactory. The property itself was value for money, clean, comfortable, with all necessary mod. cons. and a complimentary cream tea on arrival. The proprietor could not have been more friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.
