Lovely property, great host and a lovely welcome.
Kitchen had everything I needed to cook and clean up with fab views across the fen. Comfy sofas and cosy cottage vibes with lots of space for us 2. Good size fridge freezer and dish washer. Clear welcome information. The neighbours are close but very quiet. Very much appreciated the welcome pack (especially as I hadn't packed any tassimo pods). There were a couple of issues Ian flagged on arrival but they didn't cause us any problem and Ian was very efficient fixing what he could. If you are bothered by light when you sleep you might want to bring an eyemask or use one of the baby blackout blinds on the bedroom windows as the sun will shine in as Lincolnshire lives up to its reputation of big skies. Location wise it is on a main road but not a lot of road noise. Good size driveway. Not far from Louth which is good for shopping with excellent butchers, bakers and green grocers with local produce. It is not far to the sea. Sutton on Sea is lovely and we picked up every thing needed for a picnic at the near by Sandilands, with good access to the promenade and beach (recently come under national trust and had 2 hours free parking for all- members can get a ticket for free until March 2025 from the snack van- great toilets and accessible facilities if you have a blue badge. Lincoln is just under an hour across the Wolds. Hope to visit again when next in the area.

From the first moment we stepped into the cottage we all felt at home and at ease.
It is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Alison had left us a very generous welcome pack, very thoughtful lady. Everything you would need in the kitchen was on hand .The garden was fenced off so we knew our dog would be safe and happy. Our short break was based on us being able to relax and be comfortable see the local area and walk our dog, millcott ticked all our boxes and more. Lovely comfortable living space, spacious bedrooms and most importantly super clean very comfortable mattresses. There are tracks at the side of the cottage for walking which go on for miles, hardly see anyone, just enjoy the views and the peacefulness of the lincolnshire countryside. After a long walk relax in the family sized hot tub, listening to the birds by day and looking up to the stars by night. A truly memorable short break . There's also a lovely friendly pub up the road called the royal oak, the sunday dinner is amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Definately recommend a visit. All in all our stay at millcott was relaxing and very enjoyable we couldnt fault a thing, we will definately be booking again.

We have just returned from a week at this fabulous holiday home.
The garden is exceptional and completely secure - I think the dogs thought their Christmases had come all at once with the amount of space to run around in. It also has multiple seating areas, a BBQ, and the hot tub was an absolute bonus and loved by us humans. Only things to note are you have no back door directly for access into the garden, but this isn't an issue at all as it is a short distance from the door to gate and it is completely secure, and we were unlucky that the mosquitoes were out in force so make use of the repellent in the house. The hosts are on hand if you need them but very respectful and you have complete privacy if you choose. Louise was very kind to agree to allow us into Lincoln one day, leaving the dogs behind for a couple of hours which exceeded our expectations. The living area is cosy and we made good use of the log burner. The Co-op across the road was ideal for last minute bits. We had lovely walks through Rimac Nature Reserve and other local areas. We also must recommend Appleby's for their delicious ice cream. It was a lovely peaceful holiday made perfect by this wonderful cottage.

We had an amazing stay at Tawny Owl cottage.
Louise is a lovely host and has thought of everything needed for a home from home holiday. We really appreciated the welcome pack for both ourselves and our four legged friends, what a lovely touch. The property is genuinely dog friendly, no signs saying "don't do this" and "not allowed" that, throws were provided for the sofas and their comfort etc. The cottage is super comfortable and the garden and hot tub fabulous. We enjoyed a fair few hours out there with the pooches, enjoying a tipple at the tiki bar and a soak in the HUGE hot tub. The cottage is in a lovely area with lots to explore nearby. There's a pub within a 2 minute walk and a CO-OP across the road - very convenient if you fancy a cosy day in. All in all, couldn't fault it and can't wait to return which we definitely will. Great stay at Millcott.
Everything well presented and spotless! Alison was a perfect host who despite a broken foot was always cheery and welcoming. The garden was plenty big enough and fully enclosed for our two medium sized dogs to charge around in. Wi-Fi was great, but also games and a good selection of books are provided. The welcome pack was full of local delicious goodies that were great fully received! The new installed upgraded hot tub sadly was awaiting the electrician but Alison offered us the use of hers. Millcott is situated in gorgeous countryside but within walking distance to the local pub which also serves food. There are plenty of great walks directly from the door which Alison can point you in the right direction. We certainly wouldnât hesitate to stay again or recommend Millcott.
