Our stay was very enjoyable, we arrived to fresh eggs from the farm, a madeira cake and tea/coffee provided which was a nice touch. Linda is a very nice host who was very friendly and mindful of our privacy. She could be seen feeding the animals regularly which often prompted noises of anticipation from them (especially Sutty and Sweep). The animals on the property were a nice feature of the stay. Just be mindful of Lawrence the Llama's ears going back which suggests he will spit (thankfully we avoided that). The Donkey (which we named Dave as forgot to ask his name) can be noisy when braying but during our stay wasn't at inappropriate hours. The Studio itself is very cosy and clean and has everything you would want for a lodge of it's kind. It is in a good location for travelling to Cromer for a beach day and isn't too far from the Norfolk Broads. There is also a train station named Gunton no more than a 30 minutes walk away which we used to travel to Norwich city centre. One thing to note is the height of the downstairs ceiling which myself at 6'2 could just about stand up tall but the lowered ceiling towards the tv I had to duck. Overall, it was a great stay and we have already recommended this lodge as base for seeing Norfolk

Have just spent a lovely week in Swallowtail Cottage. Perfect and homely with everything you need for a relaxing time away. House is spacious. Bedrooms all large and tastefully decorated. Lovely comfy beds and lovely bedding. Dog bowl and bed also handy and small but pretty garden and enclosed so useful and safe for the dog and I can imagine is lovely in the summer. House was very clean upon arrival. Chocolates were a nice touch. Parking for 2 cars was handy at the side of the house. Kitchen has a washing machine and dryer and all the utensils you can possibly need. Great location for the beach which was great to walk the dog on. Nice and quiet and literally on your doorstep through the dunes. Was amazing to see the seals at Hornsey. Handy premier shop for essentials 5 mins away and Tesco and Lidl about 15 - 20 mins away. Lots of places to visit nearby. Lovely village pub 10 minutes walk away. Had a lovely meal at the boat house which was recommended by the cottage owner. Had a problem with the washing machine and the owners came out promptly and fixed the problem. They were lovely and friendly and gave some advice on where was nice to eat. Would highly recommend staying at this cottage and would love to come back and visit soon.

On arrival all seemed well apart from a distinct smell of dampness.
That evening we had a bath and a musty smell was more profound, on close inspection the jets in the bath were black which gave the impression of being mouldy, mould was also evident on some of the tiles. The following morning in daylight we noticed paint under the radiator in bathroom was flaking and there were some paint powdering on the floor which had crumbled from the damp. Also damp under bedroom radiator. Noticed a lot of Lacewing insects on the ceilings and walls, and I mean a lot... spent most of the weekend disposing of the ones I could reach. Lots of cobwebs on the high ceilings which I was unable to reach, and also in most rooms throughout the cottage.. Blind on kitchen door was dirty and stained, there were no cleaning products for bath, sink or toilet (no bleach) and no cleaning product for kitchen sink, hob or worktops. Sofas on verge of collapse, glass on most windows was dirty but more so on double doors in lounge. On an upnote we found the bed really comfortable and clean

We booked this cottage after asking Michael about the distance from the car park to the cottage,we were told a few feet but in reality it must have been around 100feet.
my husband is disabled and i had to wheel him in and out from cottage to car park frequently.with at least 6 other cars in the car park it was often difficult to park. There were no walks nearby as the road was single trackand wasnt safe for anybody. In the cottage there wasnt a window to open and leave open on a hot night which left us very stuffy. This is not the standard we have become accustoomed with using Sykes cottages and felt so unhappy we came home early by one day. With the wrong information given which spoilt our break we would appreciate a refund,we look forward to your comments

A very nice stay at Willow.
Although it was Spring half term with 2 of the barns occupied by families with children we still found it very quiet and peaceful. A lovely hideaway well off the beaten track. Only minor gripes. The electric shower was next to useless, it could really do with a mains fed shower. The heating boiler fixed in a cupboard in the lounge was very noisy when running but worked well and kept the barn nice and warm. The Wi-Fi was very patchy and slow and kept dropping out but we managed to get by. Overall a very nice weekâs holiday in a well equipped property.
