What our customers say about their holidays

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable and the owner was helpful putting things right as necessary.

What let the cottage down was the basics not being available. No hand wash in the kitchen, the tiniest amount of washing up liquid, not one dishwasher tablet, no fire starter pack, one solitary toilet roll, the smallest welcome pack we have ever experienced, 2 tea bags, 2 instant coffee sachets, pint milk - welsh cakes were appreciated though, no spare bin bags, resolved, no hot tub towels, resolved, no washing line or clothes maiden, resolved. We don't expect all inclusive and we bring provisions it did feel that the basics were skimped on. The lack of a visitors book was a real shame, as they can be so helpful with previous visitors recommendations. There is an information pack however it is out of date. We went to a market detailed in there to find is ceased trading a year ago and the farm shop has very little there not worth the drive. Some of the places recommended are a long way from the cottage. As previous visitors have mentioned, the bathroom can become smelly at times, the lack of net curtains in the bedroom creates a lack of privacy. The hot tub recommended temperature of 34 degrees creates a luke warm tub and is nowhere near hot enough. We have rented several properties with hot tubs and have never encountered this. It should be declared on the listing, I would not book a cottage that insisted on this. Again, this felt like a cost cutting exercise. Overall, an absolutely lovely property and the owner was helpful. We had a lovely time staying there, just needs a bit more attention to visitors' needs.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage it was much larger than we thought it would be.

Warm welcome from owner. Comfortable 4 poaster bed in main bedroom. Didnt need to use the twin room .The kitchen had full facilies as expected and everything was in good condition. Bathroom had large walk in waterful shower. Lounge diner comfortable and cosy. Good broadband , but tv difficult to navigate . Good off road parking on premises. Hot tub in nice private location . Good location for walking the coastal path. Local pub The Ship served local tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere all , staff very friendly . The Saturday night we were there there was a very entertaining band , great fun. We used Morrisons in Haverfordwest which was 35 mins by car. Thank you for a lovely holiday

Fantastic cottage, large yet comfy, with great off-street parking.

The lounge is comfy with a wood burner and a decent TV with smart box & really good internet connection. The kitchen is large and has everything you will need to self-cater. The weather was atrocious for a few days when we visited, so we enjoyed just chilling out in the cottage between storms. Trefin is a small but really nice village, ideally located for Fishguard, Newport beach and St David. There is a local pub a very short walk away, as is the coast path. Will defiantly visit again, hopefully the weather will allow us to walk the coast path more next time.

The cottage itself is an amazing property, however the stay was overshadowed by the lack of basic amenities.

1 toilet roll for 3 adults for the weekend is just stingy. No toiletries, no tea towels or kitchen roll. You can't advertise the cottage with a cosy fire if you're not going to provide the wood and kindling for people to actually use it. Also your guests who have paid £225 per night to have stripped all the beds and put various linens in various bags, put rubbish in various bags in various bins and have cleaned the dishes and put them away all before an early 10am check out is not right. Overall for £225 per night.... I'd expect a hell of a lot more.

This is a delightful cottage, deceptively larger than the pictures portray.

The cottage is well kept and has everything you need for a short stay - a real home from home! The welcome basket and the information folder were very thoughtful (and useful) touches. The village of Treffin is picturesque and we had a wonderful stay visiting the local area. The hidden bay at the bottom of the hill (5 minutes walk) was a gem. The village pub was great, exceptionally friendly and the food was amazing. All in all, this was a great value for money holiday and I would highly recommend to couples and families alike.
