We had a lovely week long stay over the Easter holidays (2 adults, 2 kids age 13 and 7).
The property is just the right size for a small family with everything you could need. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is a good size for a small property and the bathroom facilities are great for a holiday home. A bonus that both bedding and towels are provided and the washing machine in the bathroom is very handy when you have kids (just note it's not a washer/dryer but there is a washing line in the back). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including plastic children's plates etc, chopping boards, oven trays, pots & pans etc. There was coffee, tea & sugar also which we didn't use as we always bring our own just in case, but a nice addition. (The owners also left milk and biscuits which was another welcome bonus!) The sofa bed was a big hit with our 7 year old and he chose to sleep there instead of the bunk beds! It's easy to get out and put away and quite comfy for a sofa bed. The weather was good while we were there with only one night being cold enough to need the heaters but the portable radiator provided was enough to heat the whole property fairly quickly. The outside seating area is lovely and the site itself is very nice and well looked after and in close proximity to plenty of shops, restaurants, arcades and activities. I was suprised by how quiet it was considering how close it is to a club and pubs, although you can hear some noise from the street at night while outside it doesn't bother you indoors. Overall we were really pleased with the property and would definitely come again.

Ten reasons to choose Bridge Lake Farm 1.
The host faciliated an early check in and pre-heated the hot tub ready for our arrival. 2. The host provdied a warm greeting on arrival and helped with parking and taking our luggage to the lodge. 3. The lodge had suitable underfloor heating; which we could regulate, and that kept us warm when outside temperature was below freezzing. 4. The lake provides a beautiful and relaxing view from the ldoge. 5. Privacy is repspected - suitable blides on windows, a curtained gazebo outside and significant space between other lodges. 6. The lodge is close to picturesque local towns. We took advantage of the location and went on day trips to Oxford, Cotswold towns and Bicester shopping villiage. 7. The welcom folder contains infromation about local restaurants, pubs and village walks. We did the 11km pub walk. Please note, if you choose to do this walk not all pubs are open on Mondays and the Plough is no longer a pub and has been converted to a house. 8. The lodge itself is modern. We had access to wifi, Netflix and Prime this meant we didnt struggle with any first world problems. 9. The host was quick to respond to texts, always answered the phone and its clear he loves to make guests feel welcome, and, like us, want to come again. 10. Perfect stay for a romantic getaway or anniversaries.

Newly built lodges in a peaceful, quiet setting.
We booked a three week stay but couldn't stay in the same lodge as they already had bookings so had to move each week. The owner, Jane, was really helpful and ensured the next lodge was available early so there was no waiting around to move. All three lodges had views across the field where there was an abundance of wildlife. The lodges are ideal for all year round occupation - decking area with seating outside for sunny weather and very warm inside for colder days. Instant hot water was a real bonus and the ensuite showers were very effective. Excellent wi-fi connection. The location was ideal, just 10 minutes away from an array of supermarkets and the historic town of Newark and 20 minutes drive to Lincoln, with easy access to the A1. Would definitely recommend, thank you for a brilliant stay.

Had an absolutely lovely 4 night break here.
Brendan was extremely helpful and attentive if we had any questions, even met us at the car park in his golf cart on our arrival to drive us and our luggage down to the accommodation. Lodge felt very private- despite multiple lodges on site we rarely saw/heard a soul and being set on the lake had picturesque views. Surrounded by lovely walks around Chacombe, and a short drive to Banbury town although the 30 degree weather prevented as much adventuring as we would've liked. Gorgeous hot tub for evenings when it got a little chilly and the lodge had underfloor-heating which although we didn't utilise I imagine it would be very cosy in winter. Really can't complain about anything. The whole stay was magical and we will surely be returning. Thank you Brendan for everything- Tamzin and Ellis
