What our customers say about their holidays

    • Luke - Verified booking

We have had a very satisfactory ‘glamping’ holiday.

Considering the kind of experience we were after, it ticked all our boxes. The tent was spacious enough for the four of us (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 almost-teen) and had the right balance of amenities. The hot tub was an enjoyable experience in itself. Firing up the wood burners with the firelighters, kindling and wood provided provided a memorable experience for the children and ourselves as parents. The peaceful setting and the views of the surrounding beautiful countryside were appreciated. It was a haven to return to after our countryside walks and ramblings. The owners, Amber and Tony, were warm and welcoming and made our stay pleasant to remember. We would happily recommend this holiday property to anyone who’s never been glamping before, and even to those who have.

We really loved staying in the very spacious safari tent ,it really was glamping.

It was just what we needed with a big step up from camping but still out in nature. Collecting the logs which were provided and making the fires for the hot tub and stove was part of the fun . The large field /meadow was kept very natural which is what we liked,it was teeming with wildlife ,sitting on the veranda just soaking it all in was an absolute joy. Our teenage daughter loved it all ,she went in the hot tub daily and enjoyed the space in general and one night sitting around the camp fire singing songs and Star gazing . I always take my own pillow on holiday . It wasnt needed . The beds and bedding plus pillows were comfy and warm . It was a little hidden gem in our opinion . Thank you to Amber and Tony .

Really good property, large, clean and well maintained - would stay again.

It is in a good location, quiet and private. Some nice touches, such as being welcomed in and shown around by the host with good communication before, during and at the end of the stay. Had a welcome bag with tea and biscuits, coffee pods, and some milk in the fridge - this was a nice touch, the milk in particular I have not seen done in similar stays. Some minor things that could have been improved; providing hand soap at the sinks and some basics like salt, pepper and sugar would have been handy as these are the kind of things that you don't want to purchase just for one week as you will never get through them and have had provided in the past. Would definitely rebook and stay again in future.

It was such a peaceful site perfect for my husband, myself and our dog.

So central for all our trips, and lots to do and great places to eat nearby. Unfortunately the owners were away the week we were there and on the info left in the cabin they said as there was no washing machine they would do a wash for us, as they were not there we couldn't take this offer up. Luckily the weather was great and we were able to make do with the clothes ect we took. It would have been very different had it been bad cold and wet weather and maybe this needs to be looked at if they are away again when the cabin is booked. We are not complaining only making a suggestion. The scones jam and cream on our arrival was a wonderful surprise and really appreciated. Hopefully we can go back sometime.

Our stay was ruined by the inadequate description of the property, which clearly suggested that the pool was included in the price of the stay, and that other attractions were additional charges, which is understandable.

When we got there, it turned out that everything was included in the price and nothing was included in the price of the stay. This information should have been clearly stated in the description. If it had been, we would never have chosen this property. In addition, we found the property in a poor condition, dirty and smelly. For this price you can rent a beautiful caravan in Haven or another holiday park with full access to the pools and still have £200 in your pocket. Don't be fooled like we were, and Sykes washed his hands of it. We are completely disappointed because we thought we were good customers of Sykes. Oh well, never again! I do not recommend!
