Gorgeous place not overlooked & the lake area is so nice.

lovely & clean & attention to detail inside with nice modern touches, ornaments to make it feel homely & the biggest TV I’ve seen! Spacious, loads of storage & nice little seating area on the deck, which is enclosed for dogs. Good little welcome pack too. You can hear the traffic from the M6 & busy A road, not that it bothered me & it means it’s so easy to get to. Couple of things that I didn’t take as I assumed they would be provided is a hairdryer & washing up liquid so we missed those & my daughter was gutted we couldn’t get the led lights working around the TV unit as shown on the pictures, couldn’t find any details on how to switch these on. it’s a bit of a surprise that the park do not recycle the rubbish, but that’s on the park. All in all lovely relaxing stay in the lovely lodge & I would return for another visit.

This is really five star accommodation but the reason for only four lies with the quality of sleep whilst we were there for three nights. During each night, before dawn, we were awakened by the sound of many bats returning to their roost. We were unsure where this roost was located ~ in the clock tower or with in the roof space. Unfortunately, it was difficult to resume sleep after this quite loud and lengthy interruption. I think the management may have been previously aware of this situation as they didn’t seem very surprised when advised of it. Although we enjoyed our time at this beautiful apartment, the situation with the bats would put us off returning.

We have arrived back home from a week stay on Friday 29th July and I would just like to say that myself and family were quite disappointed with the site and accommodation.

We did not feel what was advertised was a true reflection of the site. We did not expect to have to tell the children to stay away from rubbish and the remains of old pods as there was broken plastic, large screws etc. We were also disappointed with the amount of problems we came across in the lodge which we spoke to owner about. We shouldn't have had to lock the door with a chair, have a bedroom door with 1 handle or not be able to have a bath because it didn’t keep water in. We even had to turn a mattress over as the springs were poking through and that is to only list a few. So disappointing.

We had a great stay at Sherwood 34 and would love to go back again if we can!

The lodge was beautifully decorated with home comforts and the addition of things like blankets to cosy up in the evenings was a lovely touch. We needed to contact the owners on one occasion and they were very helpful and quick at responding. It was a really good central place to stay between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales and definitely feel this is somewhere we would enjoy coming back to and exploring more of these beautiful areas. There were also good facilities on site and we made the most of the gym, pool and spa on the rainy day.

Superb apartment- stylishly decorated and excellent facilities. The accommodation was in the Netherby Hall estate. Such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The gardens are extensive and well tended. We loved the walled garden and wild flower meadows. All of the staff on the estate were brilliant; polite and knowledgeable and on hand to answer any questions we asked whether it was about appliances in the apartment or anything else like recycling. The complimentary mini bus service to the splendid Pentonbridge Inn for dinner was an added bonus.
