What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Ainsworth - Verified booking

This is a fairytale cottage with a huge garden in a lovely village location. However, we found a number of problems on arrival which required immediate attention, eg shower lever missing to turn it on, badly leaking tap, chipped crockery, and many other issues. The owners left no contact details so we contacted Suffolk Secrets on four separate occasions. They advised us that they had notified the owners who were responsible for managing their own property. Two days after returning from holiday we have still had no contact. This property could be stunning but needs some money spending on it.

We had a wonderful holiday at The Spinners. We all loved the the large garden with its views of the sea, trees lawns and wildflowers - especially our under 5s who also loved the quirky friendly decor of the house. The big family room/kitchen was ideal for us - lots of room for cooking, eating and playing and watching the birds. The children really liked their bedroom, while the grown ups had plenty of room and interesting furniture in theirs. The house definitely feels like a family home rather than the usual holiday cottage. Lovely walks, unspoilt beaches and nature reserves close by.

Lovely cosy little cottage in a great location for exploring Southwold and the surrounding area. The cottage was well equipped and well presented throughout. The artwork around the cottage was perfect for the seaside location and theme. The open fireplace was a welcome during our visit in February. The location pubs and eateries are fabulous and the distillery/brewery tour at Adnams is well worth a visit. We will be returning to Well Cottage again.

This was a lovely property to spend a week in. It felt like a family home but wasn't cluttered or over-personalised. Plenty of room, warm, easy to manage. A beautiful garden for dog and people. Quiet location and so many wonderful walks around. Thank you to the owners and to Suffolk Secrets.
