Lovely stay at The Shepherds Hut.

Very approachable owner on site. They’ve made the hut and little garden very pretty. Peaceful surroundings and very close to Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge. Apparently some lovely dog friendly beaches fairly close by but we didn’t know this until it was too late so have a chat with owner about where they are located …. Planned to walk to Sutton Hoo and this is possible but part of it was boggy so we went by car- 2 mins! Lovely walks around the site and dog friendly cafe, although they’re not allowed in exhibition and House. The Wi-Fi was not great and not as listed by Sykes so be aware of this and garden not enclosed.

      Blissful stay!

Shepherds hut was wonderful, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, everything we needed. Key feature is the outdoor space, beautiful garden with firepit, hammock and deckchairs to enjoy. Do note that the mini fridge really is mini! Only space for a bottle of milk and a bottle of wine. Wasn't a problem though as the owners kindly leant us a cool box and ice packs to keep our supplies cool. Owners were fab, very helpful but gave us lots of privacy. Perfect stay, will be back!

We loved our stay at The Hollies Shepherd's Hut.

Beautiful surroundings -a peaceful and tranquil place. The Hut was cosy and welcoming .. all the facilities that we required for a short stay were there - a clever use of space. We spent our days in the immediate surroundings with no need to go further. We would recommend a visit to Ramsholt church - an absolute gem of quiet simplicity in a stunning location overlooking the Deben. Everything we needed for peace, quiet and a rest, including a very comfortable bed!

      The property was superb.

It is compact but every inch of space was maximised and we had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The setting was so peaceful and the hosts were on hand to answer any questions. The hammock is a genius touch and we loved being within easy reach of places such as Sutton Hoo, The Ramsholt Arms, Bawdsey and Woodbridge.

The hut is set in a beautifully and carefully landscaped are of garden, with independent access and privacy but with the hosts close to hand if needed.

The hosts Francis and Clare were welcoming and helpful with advice on the local area but took care not to intrude. The hut itself was charming, well thought out and extremely comfortable - the bed boasting one of the best mattresses ensuring a great night sleep. A great stay and would heartily recommend.
