Dunsdale Lodge is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped nature, and beautiful setting. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the thoughtful touches from the owners, and the convenient location for exploring local attractions. The spacious and secure lodge, with its private garden and proximity to nature, offers a peaceful retreat. Despite minor feedback on maintenance and facilities, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Guests consistently report that the lodge is clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments suggesting room for improvement in specific areas. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of their stays.
The lodge's location is frequently commended for its tranquillity and proximity to nature, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring Chester, North Wales, and surrounding areas, although some guests noted limited sunlight in winter due to the woodland setting.
Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the lodge warm and the beds comfortable, despite some remarks about creaky floors and noisy bed bases. The provision of multiple bathrooms and spacious rooms adds to the overall comfort level experienced by visitors.
The property is praised for being well-equipped and offering facilities like a car charger, laundry, and secure parking. However, there are suggestions for improvements such as better lighting, updated kitchenware, and the addition of certain amenities like Sky TV, which some guests have come to expect.
While guests are delighted with the 'welcome pack' and the lodge's overall provision, there is insufficient information to determine if such gifts are a consistent offering or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The house is well equipped with a lovely private garden- ideal for kids. It would be a good thing to provide a cot as it took up a lot of space in the car bringing our own. Also the shower in one en-suite wasnât working and the internet was slow which affected the TV considerably.

It is quiet and secluded with ample parking and very good security. The house is spacious and two of the three bedrooms have an en suite with the third having access to the ground floor bathroom within feet. It is immaculate and has everything you will need for a relaxing stay. There were six of us and a baby and we didnât feel that we were on top of each other. I would recommend Dunstable lodge as a perfect base to explore the Wirral and for Liverpool.

Many thanks for the welcome gifts. Although the property sleeps 6 in 3 double rooms, there were only 3 of us using all 3 rooms for this rental. Only minor irritation was my 6'1" husband kept banging his head on the ceiling, when he stood up near the bed in the room with the sloped ceiling. Just something to bear in mind for future guests. Minor issues - I found the slimline dishwasher too small even for the 3 of us, if 6 people were staying it would be more of a nuisance, especially if cooking a 3 course meal. Plus there were no large bowls for soup/cereal, which was a surprise. Finally the non stick fry pan has seen better days, a replacement would be a plus! Overall we would definitely return, as the property is ideally situated for visiting our family in Warrington.
