Wheal Kitty in Cornwall receives high praise for its cleanliness, peaceful and central location, and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy sitting room, and the welcoming hosts. The property's rural charm and accessibility to local attractions make it an ideal retreat for both relaxation and exploration.
Guests consistently note the cottage's exceptional cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its well-maintained and spotless condition. One minor comment about some kitchen items not being clean prevents a perfect score.
The location is celebrated for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and convenience to main roads and local attractions. Its central position in Cornwall makes it ideal for exploring the county, although a car is necessary.
The majority of guests find the property comfortable, mentioning cosy rooms and underfloor heating. However, a few guests suggest that the single beds are too soft, and the sofa is not to everyone's liking.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good attention to detail. Some guests mention limited freezer and storage space, and a lack of instructions for appliances, which slightly lowers the score.
Many guests express gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as the provision of milk and wine upon arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed.

The views are fantastic and there is a lot to do locally. Really appreciated there being milk, tea and coffee on arrival. There is good internet access, and the facilities are very good. There is a 24/7 dairy shop in the near be village of Saint Newly East, which was brilliant. 24/7 cake, ice cream, milkshakes, tea and coffee! 15 - 30 mins from great beaches and only a few minutes from the A30. I have a disability and although there was a frame for the toilet, I would recommend there is a toilet seat riser. The shower is a walking in shower and there was a shower stool available, which was great, but a grab rail would be good. Also, a grab rail at the door to the field would be recommended. The doors are nice a wide which is really good for wheelchair users.
