Guests say

Guests have had delightful stays at Pentreath, praising its comfort, well-stocked kitchen, and proximity to the beach. The property is described as clean, cosy, and well-equipped, making it a great base for exploring Carbis Bay and nearby attractions. While there are minor maintenance issues mentioned, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests planning to return.

Most guests found Pentreath to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness, such as stained carpets and a need for better floor cleaning, which slightly impacts the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to Carbis Bay beach, the train station, and local amenities. The ease of access to St Ives and the beauty of the surrounding area contribute to a high score in this category.

Guests consistently describe the house as comfortable, with cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. The property is seen as a home away from home, although there were minor comments about sofa comfort and a hard mattress topper.

The property is well-equipped for a self-catering holiday, with a particularly well-stocked kitchen. Some guests mentioned issues with heating and the need for additional recycling bins, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as treats for dogs and a cream tea on arrival. While these gestures enhance the experience, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Eventually we could enter the property, The windows were covered in dog slober, there was food left on the Crockery and utensils , The grill pan was covered in fat residue , I tried to contact the number provided with know answer, Sykes office was then closed, By now we are both very uncomfortable an disappointed.. we decided to return home in the morning, I contacted your office with several conversations with your representative, was eventually told nothing could be offered in the way of compensation,an my option was to go to a small claims court. We not only had our week from work ruined, we felt extremely let down by your company. Regards Paul.

It has everything you need and in a nice and quiet street, the neighbours are also very nice friendly. Theres a short (but steep stroll) to Carbis bay beach. The train station is only round the corner for a 4 minute train ride to st ives with lots of shops and cafes. We would definitely stay there again.

The house is warm and comfortable with everything one needed. It's location, just a few minutes walk from the railway station, was very useful and much easier than driving into St Ives! Also close to the beach although having a dog, limited on access until the end of September. However, there are dog friendly beaches only a short distance away.
