About this property

Sea-La-Vie is a beautifully-styled, contemporary corner house set in the scenic grounds of Tregenna Castle in iconic St Ives. Perfect for up to four guests, it makes the most wonderful haven for your Cornish escape; family, friends, and couples will enjoy the spacious interior, set over two floors. Enter into the light and airy entrance hallway, with reverse-level accommodation of ground-floor bedrooms, sumptuously welcoming with crisp linens and ample storage. The master with a king-size bed and TV and the twin bedroom with two single beds, also with a TV, ideal for those lazy mornings in bed. The pristine bathroom offers a bath with shower over, for those luxurious soaks and invigorating spritzes. Enter up the glass balustrade staircase to the roomy open-plan living space, a bright social space oozing comfort with a big corner sofa and Smart TV, a spot to recline after a fun day out. The chic kitchen zone is fully equipped with all the integrated appliances, so the designated chef of the group can get to work. The dining table is ideal for light lunches, hearty breakfasts, Cornish cream teas, and evening feasts. The patio doors open out to the little balcony, with a bijou table and chairs, perfect for sunshine coffees and night time tipples. There is ample on-site parking available and the communal gardens are picturesque. Positioned between St Ives Resort and Carbis Bay, Sea-La-Vie takes advantage of the most stunning coastline within easy reach. The SW Coastal Path is host to fabulous ocean views, for nature and wildlife rambles: spot the seals playing in the water! Picture-perfect St Ives boasts something for everyone. Enjoy the super scenic rail journey to St Erth which hugs the coastline. There are four beaches to discover for swimming and surfing, water sports, rock pooling, and paddling. Browse the art galleries and independent boutiques, and take a boat leisure trip or fishing excursion from Harbour Beach. Fabulous restaurants and cafes will entice you, many overlooking the harbour and beaches, serving the catch of the day, pastries, cream teas, and international cuisine. Both St Ives and Carbis Bay have shops for all your provisions and restaurants and bars to relinquish that thirst. The Blue Flag golden sand at Carbis Bay beach is ideal for sheltered swimming and paddle-boarding. Sea-La-Vie, your idyllic Cornish getaway.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!

Easy to park. Balcony would be nice in better weather but view is of the side of another property so felt a little claustrophobic. There was no welcome information which made the hunt for the WiFi router password interesting necessitating a call to Carbis Bay Holidays, unfortunately the mobile signal is poor which made it difficult! Also information on how the heating worked would have been helpful! The bathroom is lovely and warm but unfortunately the bath is slow to drain and using the shower gets the floor very wet, useful therefore to have the underfloor heating! Being an upside down house the bedrooms are on the ground floor and therefore if you like an open window at night you do so at your own risk, the access path goes by the room and it's a big window!!

Obviously a new property which has been kitted out to a very high standard. It had everything you could possibly need and more. The position is good too so no issues with St Ives parking! Instead we used the bus which stops right outside Tregenna Resort.
