What our customers say about their holidays

    • Dr Wade - Verified booking

Incredible location and wonderful accommodation. The views over the estuary were fabulous and the little woodland area next to the balcony was alive with birds, it was hard to know where to look - at the oystercatchers and egrets etc on the estuary or the woodpecker in the trees or the buzzards hunting overhead. The accommodation itself was clean, modern, very comfortable and included everything you needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. We received excellent, detailed information about the property, how to get there and the local area before we arrived. The owner was very responsive and friendly, available on email and phone if you needed him (but we didn't because everything was fantastic). If you can tear yourself away from the beautiful accommodation, views and wildlife entertainment at the property, then there is a fantastic, very quiet RSBP reserve 20mins car journey away, alive with more wildlife. Aberdovey itself seemed a very friendly place with picturesque buildings and lovely beach/ harbour area and walks onto the Welsh coast path. In the accommodation information it recommended a trip to Ynyslas beach near Borth, which was a wonderful, quiet, long stretch of sandy beach with views back to Aberdovey and we were lucky to watch horses riding along the beach and into the water. On the way back from the beach we stopped off at the Furnace in Machynlleth (definitely worth a visit) with a beautiful waterfall and amazing water wheel. There was plenty more to do around the area but after sitting on the balcony, glass of wine in hand, relaxing watching the birds and taking in the view it proved very difficult to leave the accommodation! We will be returning as soon as we can! Thanks to the owners for a fantastic holiday to remember.

We were wowed from the moment we walked into the accommodation, it was lovely! Beautifully refurbished to a very high standard and comfortable too! The view is absolutely stunning, I could have spent hours just looking out those windows at the Estuary, so relaxing. I had great communication with the landlord prior to arrival, he very kindly had given us information about the local area and also made all the provisions to make sure the property was clean and safe, we were even left a little COVID pack with our own cleaning products. Local area is lovely, we visited Aberdyfi beach a few times and Ynyslas sand dunes and beach. We also visited Dolgoch falls and The Mawddach Trail which is a short drive away. We hiked up Cader Idris in Snowdon national park, all the way up to Llyn Cau, a large glacial lake nestled between the walls of the mountain. A day trip to Portmeirion was also worth the drive, so unique and pretty. We really really had a wonderful holiday, which really goes to show you don’t need to travel abroad to have a memorable time!”

Llety Pen Deitsh 1 is a Clean, Fresh, and lovely Apartment to stay.

It has everything you need to make you feel right at home the beds are comfy too. They have also provided board games for the little ones and cards for the grown ups, there is so much to do inside on rainy days but luckily for us we had superb weather for the month of February. It's close to 2 major food stores, Morrisons and Asda as well as independent stores, a short walk to the river and it cannot get any better, you have a Castle right on the doorstep, truly a lovely place to stay. Parking is great too with a 45 min stay outside the Apartment to unpack the car and long term parking either around the corner or near the river which is no more than 5 mins away. We shall most definitely be booking this lovely Apartment again next year. Thank you Regards Loz

The cottage was so lovely - light and spacious. The views from the lounge windows and the patio are just stunning. It is really comfortable and well equipped, even down to the binoculars to watch the birds on the estuary. One thing to note is the steps leading up to the apartment - they are metal with a wide grid and our collie-whippet cross (having thin legs and small feet), couldn't get up or down them and had to be carried every time. The apartment is well placed to explore the area with good road access to Aberdyfi, Tywyn, Machynlleth and beyond. There's a wealth of amazing restaurants and pubs selling really good food within a few miles. The owner is a mine of informtion about the area and is extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

    • Mr Wardell - Verified booking

The apartment is by far the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. It was immaculately clean upon arrival and is modern and well equipped with everything we needed all of which was of top quality. But of course best of all is its location. A stunning view from the lounge and decking area, the binoculars and telescope provided were a nice touch and used daily. The peace and quiet made for a perfect break. Aberfydi is approximately 3 miles away and we made good use of the free parking permit provided. There are a number of places to eat and drink opposite the lovely sandy beach. Two stations nearby with good links up and down the West coast. We would definitely stay again and will recommend to family and friends.
