Many thanks for the flat. We really enjoyed our stay and really only have some minor suggestions that may help you to improve what is a great place to stay. We thought it would have been nice to have a welcome pack. Also some of the basic food and similar items that you donât want to have to buy specially just for a week would have been useful: e.g., salt pepper and vinegar. There was tea and coffee but for instance the instant coffee in the cupboard was over a year out of its sell by date and unusable. We wonder whether itâd be worth reviewing everything you provide in terms of food, removing the old stuff and focus on what people are most likely to need. Final thought: there are a huge number of glasses (enough for a huge party!) but not many plates etc. Which were rather small.

The apartment is very well equiped and good located, at the edge of the towncentre, next to Ripon Canal and very close to the Skell River.
The Yorkshire Dales can be entered by several, very nice routes. We like to stay in a town that is not too big (like Ripon), with a good choice of shops, restaurants and pubs and not too far from walking possibilities. We enjoyed making trips every day to historical towns and villages, monuments, woods, gorges, waterfalls, trainviaducts and were very pleased by the kindness of the people we met. The Yorkshire Dales offer a lot of beautiful and interesting places; it was difficult for us to choose and find a good balance between nature, towns, abbeys, castles and gardens. Tourist Information of Ripon was a good help to us for making choices. We loved The Dales and its tales!

Comfortable, clean and cosy.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property, which is very well sited for exploring North Yorkshire and a good base to visit York itself. There's a Morrisons just a few hundred yards down the road, which is very handy. We had mixed weather during our stay, so it was nice to have a lovely cosy retreat in the evening. We didn't actually do any hiking, but if we'd had our wet muddy boots to dry then the carpets and shoe cupboard provided in the accommodation are far too nice to store muddy boots, so you'd have to leave them in the car. Maybe a plastic box (or equivalent) could be provided to help dry muddy boots overnight without causing a mess for anyone.

Perfect property for us - clean, comfortable and well positioned for both the town and nice walks along the canal and rivers.
Minor comments - some inconsistencies between what Sykes says and the owner. E.g. Sykes says must ring for key collection instructions but owner says he routinely sends them out the Monday or Tuesday beforehand. Perhaps Sykes could say this and just give a number to ring if you don't receive them or have any queries. Also Sykes say checkout is 10, owner says 9:30. And instructions for the key safe seemed to be for a different type (but not a problem as straightforward to operate). But as I say these are minor points - the property was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

Really clean property.
Owners kindly and friendly. Very convenient for us and a good price. Flexible arrangements- we booked Thursday-Thursday. I love the big window in the bedroom. Plenty of storage in there. I found the bed and the pillows slightly uncomfortable. The kitchen was a bit of a challenge for me but we largely ate out. It was a bit cramped and I couldn't face doing battle with the oven. It was clean and that mattered most. Bathroom and sitting room were fine. I think we are likely to visit again. Parking was great. We could walk into Minskip or Boroughbridge.
