What our customers say about their holidays

    • Christine - Verified booking

The apartment is wonderful with every mod con.

There is a lift from the car park up to the 3rd floor which we hadn't read about. So it was most welcome. There were also t-towels, an over glove, condiments and sauces, tea and coffee and washing up equipment left for our use. Also I was glad to find a hairdryer. The owners had left a vase of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. I have read on various sites that Skipton is between four and ten miles away, but it is definitely only four. The development is next to the railway station (but trains aren't heard) and we went into Skipton on the train one evening. All very straight forward. There is a small village shop in Cononley and two pubs, one of which is only two minutes walk from the apartment. If we went back to the area we would certainly stay at Horace Mills again. Can't recommend it highly enough.

      Absolutely loved the flat.

Impeccably clean and beautiful. Lovely views out the windows, great location. We were not in the flat much as we were out hiking most days but it was a wonderful place to return home to. Strangely the post code didn't get us there in google maps but we had no trouble finding it. Easy to get keys and enter. Parking space was very tight for larger cars. We managed fine due mostly to the empty spaces across from the assigned spot. If those were filled, not sure we should have been able to get our car in! I gather from looking at the outdoor space there may be restrictions on parking there, but if there is recommended street parking I would suggest advising future renters in case they have a large car. Many thanks for the wonderful stay. It was fantastic.

A great apartment in an excellent location and having private off street parking in the centre of Skipton is a real bonus.

It is only a short walk along the canal into town and Tesco and Morrison supermarkets are also very close. There are good self catering facilities in the kitchen and it was a nice touch to have a Christmas tree in the lounge. The property was very clean and thank you for the tea/coffee and milk on arrival. The central heating was also very efficient. The spiral staircase up to the bedroom did not bother me but it might for some other visitors. The details of the property clearly outline the situation though. Andy phoned with the details of entry and would have been at the end of the phone if I had a problem.

Lovely flat with a fabulous view over the canal, very handy for Skipton town centre and the station which allowed for a number of car-free days out.

A couple of very small points - the WiFi code on the little board is wrong (a letter is capitalised which should be lower case) and although the correct code is in the information folder this did cause some confusion. Also, Andy very kindly phoned me to give details of the code for the key safe but because we both had poor signals I misheard one digit and wrote down the wrong number, which Andy didn't pick up despite me repeating the number back to him. A phone call is a lovely personal touch but perhaps it would be helpul to follow up with a text with the code, to avoid confusion.

Delightful, clean, well equipped apartment in ideal location, only a few minutes walk along the canal into the town centre and parking right outside the door.

Easily accessible. Lovely comfy and warm on these chilly February days. Loved the views over the canal and hills. Great shower and comfy bed. Our only niggle was the spiral staircase a bit awkward for two almost 69 year olds but we managed! Would also suggest more storage for clothes for guests staying for a week or so, there was plenty of room in the bedroom for a set of drawers and maybe a chair. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend. Thank you.
