What our customers say about their holidays

    • Tracey - Verified booking

      Our apartment was fantastic.

It was modern and comfortable, extremely clean and well provisioned, there was even a pair of reading glasses in case you had forgotten your own! Parking is provided, although the garage is only for apartment one - for the other 2 apartments there is a marked space adjacent to the wall of next door building. I recommend turning your car around in the gravel car park of the accountants next door and reversing into your spot, otherwise you might find turning around a bit tight. However, to get a parking space included in Whitby is a real bonus. The view of the abbey was lovely and the two balconies (one at the front and one at the back shared by both bedrooms), provided the opportunity to follow the sun, although our trip being in March it was a bit chilly. The location is ideal for exploring Whitby and all this lovely old coastal town has to offer, within minutes walk of the shops, bars, restaurants and beach. All in all, I thoroughly recommend The Office apartments and will definitely be back.

Hi the flat was lovely and clean and in a nice area.

Enjoyed our stay two elephants would have been good so both of us could put our feet up . This was a last minute booking and was a bit stressed about it all not the owner’s fault or the Sykes company. Loved the fact we could get Netflix on the smart tv. Missed not having a washing machine as we travel light . And also was hoping to sit outside in a garden or patio as we aren’t really into sitting outside a noisy pub or bar. But sadly there wasn’t one. I don’t know who was in the flat below but they were a smoker and the entrance smelled awful of cigarettes and a disgusting pot of cigarette butts were sat in the gateway. We are none smokers with asthma so that wasn’t pleasant. Nice area though and apart from the steps down and up Whitby is hilly the flat was in a nice area with captain cooks statue around the corner

We had a wonderful week at the apartment.

The owners were easy to communicate with and made sure that we had all of the information we needed for check in and for our stay. The accommodation was homely, clean and very welcoming. The facilities were excellent. Everything provided for a self catering accommodation. Lots of fluffy towels, wonderful bed linen, the bed was so comfortable. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The location was brilliant. No need to use the car, easy walk into town. There were people in the apartments below but we didn't hear anyone coming or going, very peaceful. We would definitely recommend the apartment, we have already mentioned it to our friends, and would not hesitate to come again if we visit Whitby in the future.

Perfect accommodation, bright airy and spotless.

Have stayed many times in Whitby always had lovely places to stay but this was the best.So close to everything.Parking permits included. Used the bus all week to get around if we weren’t around Whitby.Everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay.Shower was exceptional and was hard to jump in and out quickly through sheer reluctance! Towels were extra large and so soft.Couldn’t ask for more as the weather was perfect too. Went whale watching which we discovered for the first time and saw lots of Minky whale plus seals.Whitby is the place to holiday and St Hilda’s corner house is definitely the place to holiday from. The only issue we had to leave and come home! Thank you for an excellent visit.

We found the property smelling fusty and dank throughout our stay.

The previous occupant's rubbish was left in the hallway and no council refuse sack to dispose with. A search to find one behind the door in the hallway revealed a horribly mouldy, dilapidated external toilet. A good location to explore Whitby being situated on a main shopping street, but we could hear noise from the street through the single sheet windows and music from downstairs beneath the living room. The parking here is unfortunate being at times a distance to walk to Zone W depending on how lucky you are finding a space, this is of course more to deal with the influx of tourists than the property. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
