What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jamie - Verified booking

From the moment we arrived this holiday was nothing short of amazing.

Warm welcome from Nathan and family and some nice touches with bottle of prosecco in the lodge. As for the lodge. It was AMAZING. So spacious and comfortable. We could still smell the newness of it. It has been decorated to a very high standard and the fixtures, fittings and equipment are all great quality. We had five adults and a twelve year old in the lodge and my in-laws were in the next lodge but when all seven were in ours there was still plenty of room to sit and eat. The Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling were a great touch and great quality. Beds are very big and more than comfortable. Plenty of storage as well for clothes and cases etc. Space on the drive for two vehicles. Hot tub. What can I say? We were in it until midnight on a couple of occasions. Lovely! Outdoor furniture very comfortable. Great views from the decking of the nearby hills. Site very quiet indeed which is what we wanted hence this being our second visit to this site. Location is also great. Absolutely no more than twenty minutes drive from numerours beautiful beaches and restaurants/pubs. Almost in the middle of Cornwall so nothing was too far away. Lands end was only a one hour drive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge and site. We are already looking at booking again for 2021. Thanks for a great week. Shame about the rain but it didn't stop us having a great time.

We have recently returned from a holiday in Pinehurst lodge and we only have one word for the place AMAZING!

When we arrived at the lodge we were greeted by flowers, Prosecco, chocolates, tea and coffee and even a pint of milk, which was well appreciated after the long drive down. The lodge was immaculate, cosy and spacious (we had 6 adults) and contained everything we could have needed. The outdoor decking area had lots of seating and the hot tub was amazing and was used every night. It had outdoor lighting, which allowed us to use the outdoor seating in the evening too. The staff member on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. He came around every day to check the hot tub abs always asked if we needed anything. St Day Holiday Park was peaceful and well looked after. We wanted to go and visit different places during our stay and the site was in an ideal place where we could go into the tourists sites, but then return back to the lodge to relax. The most we had to drive was an hour. When we returned from holiday, after only posting the pictures for half an hour we had over 8 people ask for the lodge details. We would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for making our holiday fantastic!

We have stayed in a lot of places in Cornwall for many many years.

Pam’s Place is up there with, in our opinion, some of the best. The property was very clean when we arrived and the lovely welcome gift was kind. There is nothing that we needed which wasn’t already thought of in the caravan. Trevella is a beautiful caravan park (we have stayed there before) but having Pam’s Place tucked away was an additional bonus. Perfectly situated with 5 minutes drive into Newquay and a 10 minute drive into Perranporth (which we love) was ideal. The beautiful Gannel walk was a first and it did not disappoint. Crantock, whilst very small and quiet, is beautifully picturesque and worth the walk into with one of the best beaches in Cornwall to offer. Thank you Pam’s Place for being the perfect spot to explore and chill out in too (or hide from the rain). We will definitely be back again - perhaps with out dog next time who would love the walks that there are to offer near by. Booking and contact before holiday was just perfect, not too much and kept informed along the way. Thank you.

There were a number of issues, as well as a number of recommendations.

Issues: - Really bad smell permeating the whole lodge. Seemed to be originating from the bathrooms - Frebreeze, air freshener and scented candles couldn't shift it all week. - Storage heater the front double bedroom didn't work. - We had to clean all of the plates, glasses, cutlery, saucepans and the grill, as they were dirty. - Remnants of a McDonalds was down the side of the sofa/under the table. - The cooker had been switched off - had to reset the clock to get it to work. Recommendations: - Lamps in the lounge - the lights are too fierce to relax. - Need bins in the bedrooms - Need a colander and a tablespoon in the kitchen. - The visitors comments book contains some local information, but we didn't find it until the last day. Recommend a client information pack including emergency numbers for doctors, dentists and the owners. Details of local shops, pubs and takeaways would also be useful.

On arrival we found over 20 wasps which had been sprayed and were either dead, docile or quite lively!

! There was an awful smell emanating from en suite as the drain on shower had not been replaced by cleaner correctly. The owner of lodge was very amenable and fixed the drain and sprayed where the wasps were getting in. The smell from drain took a few days to fade and we kept finding the odd wasp up to the end of our stay. The lodge itself is ok but we found it to be very hot after the sun had been on it all day! There are not enough mugs, glasses or plates either to fill the dishwasher. The living area needs a lamp, the mattresses on beds are extremely uncomfortable and the en-suite and main bathroom need a mat to stand on after having a shower. The lodge is well situated for visiting most places in Cornwall as it is not far from the main road that runs down the length of the Cornish peninsular. The area surrounding the lodges is very quiet and fairly well maintained.
