What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Robinson - Verified booking

Polsue Gardens is an ideal getaway, superbly located with every imaginable comfort. Spotlessly clean, stylishly designed with a tasteful choice of furnishings, spacious, well-equipped and lovingly prepared, we immediately felt at home. The modern kitchen and cosy living room area was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. Dee was the perfect host and gave us a very warm welcome with kind gifts of bread, fresh vegetables, eggs and beautiful bouquets of flowers. The fenced and very well kept garden was a pleasure to behold and the trees and picturesque view over the surrounding countryside created a peaceful environment in which we could relax and recover. Our dog appreciated the freedom of having the garden and we were relieved she was safe to roam and explore to her heart’s content. The squirrels were also a delight. The guestbook was a good idea, not least because of the previous guests’ recommendations about things to do and places to visit. We would strongly recommend Polsue Gardens and look forward to returning! Thank you Dee!

We had stayed in a glamping pod before but Stargaze was undoubtedly the best yet.

It’s is very well situated for you to explore North and South Cornwall. My husband and I loved every minute from waking up to surrounding countryside views and relaxing in the jet hot tub of an evening to watch the amazing sunsets. We are both relaxed ready to go back to our very fast paced careers. The pod was clean and had everything you wanted from a first aid kit to an iron and ironing board. We had dinner at a lovely country pub the fox and hound which was five minutes drive and offered great food however there is a combi oven and stove top in the pod if you want to do self catering. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well every night. There were towels provided and nothing was trouble for the owners to make your stay trouble free and relaxing. We will definitely book again in the future.

Stargaze was the most perfect place to spend my birthday.

The location was amazing and everywhere we wanted to go was within an hours drive. We were thoroughly impressed with the use of a small space, it felt much larger inside than it actually is! The bed was comfy and the hot tub was a perfect way to start and end our days. It was a lovely experience to cook on the fire pit every night and an amazing view to enjoy our food with. We were the only ones there for the first night but even when our neighbours arrived we felt we had ample privacy. The only constructive feedback I can think of is that it would be great to keep a scouring brush under the sink for the fire pit as it was still a little greasy from previous use and the sponge wasn't enough to get it off. We will most definitely be back again, thank you so much for an experience to remember!

Absolutely stunning cabin stay for my partners birthday!

So clean upon arrival and had everything you need. Loved the little interior details that made it feel very homely. The welcome gift of Prosecco was a lovely touch and much appreciated! As the cabin name describes, we could star gaze in the hot tub at night and it was just perfection! Only fault I could find was that this cabin sits between 2 others in close proximity which is not described in the listing, we thought this was a stand alone cabin. More privacy between hot tubs would be good as we felt abit watched by our neighbours. Our 2nd night a family checked into one of them and their voices carried down the hill so we could hear all conversations and kids screeching. However that is no fault of the hosts and Andrew was lovely to talk to! Thank you for having us ☺️

We love our stay at Bellas Place, recently undergone a revamp and it’s an amazing addition to the place. You now have floor to ceiling windows overlooking the valley views which if you want peace and tranquility is perfect and the dog loves watching out the window to pass the time. The lounge area is a welcome addition as you have so much more space and a table to eat at with a door now on the bedroom which makes it feel a lot more private. It’s our 3rd time and we really enjoy this place and never want to come home as we never tire of the views and Mark is very helpful and welcoming. He has recently put in a driveway on Bellas side so you now have your own private driveway to the place which is very handy with gates to lock behind you. We can’t wait to come back again.
