      - [ ] The main bedroom is lovely and very big and the bed is great.

Very comfortable. However, there is a skylight window directly opposite which doesn’t have a blind or curtain so at 4am - wakey, wakey! - [ ] Kitchen is fine and a nice room to sit in. The oven needs replacing though as the top part appears to work but at a very low heat. Took 30 minutes to cook a baguette (normally 10). Bottom main oven doesn’t work at all. No markings on the knobs or any instructions. All the crockery needs replacing too as it has chips on. - [ ] Living room is a nice size but can be chilly and feels dark. The sofas are completely worn out and collapsed, definitely in need of replacing. - [ ] No welcome pack with any details in about bins, when to put them out or where. Having some local info might be a nice touch with directions to local walking routes maybe? - [ ] The Billiard table is positioned against a wall and is wonky and worn out. The skittles are so worn out and chewed that they don’t stand up making the table unusable - [ ] The hot tub is old, with some cracks in the laminate base but is actually really good with fantastic powerful jets. However, it’s inside a small shed and the cover is completely broken so that the only way to remove it to use the hot tub is to fold it back and then on to the floor. The problem is that it is then almost impossible to pick up and put back on the top due to the lack of access around the tub. Great hot tub, needs a new cover! - [ ] The Sauna is brilliant. Lovely and clean and works great - [ ] The farm itself is lovely and the cottage is situated with easy access. It’s handy for your dog to wander around in a safe area and it can also access the field as well for a wee at night On the whole, albeit it’s nice enough for a few days I wouldn’t want to stay for a week. It just feels a bit run down and not looked after. I think the owners would benefit from staying it it themselves for a couple of days to see it as a visitor does

Upon arrival the place was dirty full of cobwebs so not been cleaned for a bit There was nothing to clean the place with only a smidging of washing up liquid We had to go to the local Tesco to purchase cleaning equipment inc air fresheners The whole place smelt really bad we had to open all windows fir most of the day to get rid of some of it The kitchen pans and utensils were not up to cooking anything pans again old and rusty There was a small fridge that would not close so nothing getting cold there was an American fridge again this was dirty and full of marks were something had been spilt In one bedroom there were stains on sheet In terms of the location the pics on advert are a little misleading as there is a house across the court yard ( did not see anything of them thou ) The court yard is open not secured and the owners dog kept barking but friendly enough when it got used to you been there Was a bit annoying as we wanted to sit outside You need to be careful as living room is on mezzanine floor so if you had young children you might want to check stair gate There was no welcome pack or instructions how to use anything in the property we manged to sus it out but that’s not the point there should be information The bedrooms are all linked together so you walk through each one to get to the bathroom Sauna and hot tub were good and worked well again tho cobwebs and dirty The hot tub didn’t seemed to be maintained Or was anything to check the oh ect I have photos if required There is a nice view over the countryside I would not recommend this place at all I would have been better camping And if you are wondering I would have gone straight home but we had come straight from our daughters wedding and was having some work done on our house so we had to just suck it up We did leave a day early

We have just had a lovely stay at The Loft.

The property is in a beautiful location on a working farm. The accommodation is set out well but would not be recommended for anyone with mobility issues. And there are very low beams. Worth leaving a lamp on at night in case you get up and forget this! The owners provide many things that are not always in a self catering property which was great - toilet rolls, kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc. This was really appreciated. It is worth noting that there is a dishwasher although not listed in the features. The hot tub and sauna are a great addition to the property and the owner showed us how to use them just after our arrival. The dogs are just lovely and greet you every morning. They are obviously very used to the visitors and look expectant at breakfast time! If you really don’t like dogs, this might not be the property for you! The only thing I would mention is that there are no mirrors in the bedrooms which makes getting ready quite difficult but this could be easily solved. However, this is the only fault I can find with the Loft. Highly recommended!

      Amazing house and neighbourhood!

We were greeted with a warm, cozy house upon arrival with some lovely treats, waiting on the table. Outside, there's a beautiful old bridge with a gushing river passing through it and its just to the side of the property. On the opposite side, a pathway leads towards the river bank itself, where you can see ducks, trout and catch glimpses of Heron! My girls loved feeding them all!! Coop is just around the corner and eateries/ shops literally at your doorstop. Its centrally based and an easy walking and driving distance to places like Chatsworth, Bakewell and Matlock. The house is very cosy, immaculately clean and beds very comfortable, the hot tub is an extra bonus. The kitchen is well equipped and the conservatory is perfect for a morning cuppa! The owner came over to help with lighting a log fire and was very courteous, kind and accessible at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Toll cottage and would love to come back again.

The accommodation was nice, the beams are a real test of memory though!

The layout was a bit of an issue, as you have to walk through each bedroom to get to the next one, and the toilet so when the little one is asleep you have to creep and duck. The view was amazing, when you sit outside you just feel every bit of stress release, there is a small courtyard which leads onto a big field but this was out of use due to a horse and a foul being on there, this was lovely as they came over to see us, it would of been great if we could of used that field as there was not much room for the dogs and the little one to burn some energy off. The working dogs were lovely, they just like to bark a lot so we had our wake up call each day. Over all we had a nice time and the weather was great. The owners leave you to it, if you have an issue you can contact them.
