What our customers say about their holidays

    • Linda - Verified booking

The Hyde most definitely deserves all the 5 star reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location was peaceful, surrounded by fields with easy access to Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick as well as the Cotswolds, a real gateway for lots of exploring, with some lovely villages in easy reach with fantastic pubs/eateries. The property itself was amazing, fantastic decor and spec throughout, the beds were super comfortable - best nights sleep ever - both bedrooms with lovely en suite bathrooms. The downstairs was lovely a cosy, with everything you could want for a break away from home and a gorgeous log burner. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, with views over the field and surrounded by twinkling lights, fantastic end to the days. The stars of the show were most definitely the hosts, from the welcome gifts, the service, the recommendations for local meals and even driving us to a pharmacy when our daughter was poorly. Both Simon and Averil went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay, without being intrusive. Our family does lots of these breaks and I can honestly say this has been my favourite - thank you both for being awesome, we will definitely be back!

We spent a week at the tunnel bridge lake farm over Christmas, what a spectacular place.

Firstly, the host brendan was very welcoming and explained how to operate all facilities clearly. The location is tranquil, looking out to the lake through huge windows. The furnishings are very modern and everything you need is supplied. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, waking up to lookout to the lake and surrounding countryside is picturesque. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The photos are exactly what you get. The hot tub is a great addition to spend your late winter nights. I wish I could live there to be honest. Thank you Brendan for letting us spend our best Christmas holiday at the tunnel. We will love to come back in the near future.

1 Kingswood Cottage was a lovely place to call home for a short stay.

We have family nearby so it was a great place to link up and connect with them. The walks along the canal were nice and the local pubs were warm and inviting. Sally & Mike made us feel very welcome, whilst we never met them in person, we connected and understood that they cared about us having a lovely experience. It is the little things that matter. A nice greeting card & Prosceco on Ice welcoming us, the M&S cutlery, the hot tub and the quality of an obvious recent renovation that has been carefully and accurately executed. We sadly did not stay the full term as I was not very well, but may well stay there again in the future. So thank you!

      Newly renovated.

Everything thing that you would expect in a holiday cottage. The garden was secure for our dog. Ample off road car parking. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Fresh flowers and a bottle of Prosecco we’re waiting for us. Lots of nice walks along the canals. Three pubs within walking distance. One of the pubs called the Boot has a very good restaurant. The railway station is 15 minutes steady walk away and is very convenient for lots of places; Stratford on Avon, Lemington Spa and Warwick to name just a few ! The Village shop came in useful, less than 5 minutes walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I’m sure we will be back!

A beautiful character cottage which has been modernised to a high standard with welcoming, dog-friendly country pubs and canal walks from the doorstep.

We enjoyed fantastic food & atmosphere at the local, The Boot Inn. A memorable bike ride with our bulldog in tow to Tom o the Woods & The Navigation Inn, who kindly borrowed us matches to light the log fire on our first night. We wish we could have stayed longer, with so much more to explore at nearby Stratford upon avon, Leamington Spa & NT properties. The cottage was well equipped & extremely comfortable. Hot tub & log burning fire made for a very relaxing stay on a drizzly Saturday. The spa robes, fizz, flowers and welcome card were a lovely personal touch. Thank you! We highly recommended Kingswood Cottage and will sure to be back.
