Date of stay 18-08-2023 to 25-08-2023 This is an excellent barn conversion into a cosy 1 bedroomed cottage for two people.
The fixtures and fittings are of a high quality, and everything you could need is supplied. Lovely thick bath towels are supplied, so there is no need to bring your own. The shower is perfect and large with good water pressure and stable temperature. The bedroom is compact, but there is a double bed, a good-sized chest of drawers and a hanging rail with 8 coat hangers, and a bedside table on either side of the bed. There is very little space between the bottom of the bed and the wall, we are not large people so not a problem for us. The bed was very comfy. Don't worry if you forget your teabags, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, J-cloth etc... there is some supplied to get you started. Other cleaning products and equipment also supplied. The owner had left milk and biscuits for our arrival very much appreciated thank you. This cottage is in a good position for visiting lots of the local heritage sites and beaches. We need to go back to continue with our adventures in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

We enjoyed our stay in Wolds Way and felt quite comfortable in the house as a place for some much-needed relaxation.
We visit the area quite a a bit but this was our first time in the village of North Dalton which is lovely. There are lots of places nearby to visit but this time we mainly used Wolds Way as a place to relax with odd, short trips out here and there..and itâs a decent cottage for this purpose. The beds are really comfy (no footboards so tall people like me are welcome,) and equally the sofas are great for comfort. Really helpful owner and great to be able to make use of the gardens etc, Dog walks from the doorstep, although our nervous dog didnât like the bangs from the bird scarers in the pea fieldsâ¦this was the case all over the area, incl the secure dog fields in Driffield and Pocklington/Barmby, so it applies to any cottage in the region so please do not let this put you off. we would like to return to this cottage but maybe at a different time of year.

Robin's Nest is well equipped, clean and comfortable.
It was cold during our stay, but the central heating kept us cosy and there was everything we needed to cook meals in plus information about local pubs, restaurants and shops if we wanted to eat out. Lots of walks, bike rides and tourist information included. One of the walks Alan suggested in the dry valleys of the Wolds was the highlight of our stay and we were blessed with glorious sunshine in November. We did have a bit of difficulty finding Robin's Nest when we arrived, but Alan also said he had asked Sykes to clarify the directions on the listing, but this had not happened. If you approach from Leven it is the first entrance on the RHS after a slight LH bend with a fiingerpost and a layby on the LHS. You don't actually go as far as the first signs for Brandesburton and if you get to the Blue Rose Country Park you have missed it.

This was a perfect cottage for a couple.
There was everything you might need, even down to maps of the area, the welcome pack was particularly useful. It is tastefully decorated with a comfortable and spacious bedroom and living area. The kitchen is lovely, there is no washing machine but the owners will allow you to use theirs. The bathroom is excellent, even with toiletries provided. This was a spotlessly clean cottage. Parking was easy, the pub just across the road, and the shop a couple of minutes walk away. The food in the pub is good and the staff friendly. We liked Hornsea and got some excellent but not cheap fish and chips from the Seafront Chip Shop. Our hosts were lovely, it is reassuring that they are close by. We simply loved the place and will be back!

The Tractor Shed is an ideal cottage for 2 people wishing to holiday in a quiet, peaceful place.
It is ideally situated to visit York and the surrounding towns of Whitby and Scarborough. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and the shower room is beautifully appointed. There is good quality bed linen and a king size bed which in my experience is unusual in a holiday cottage. Everything was clean and looked fairly new. Although the pub is across the road, we never felt it intruded in any way. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage. Chrysta is lovely and it was comforting to know she was just across the courtyard should we have needed anything.
