The hosts Roger and Ian could not have been more caring, more helpful and more generous and obviously love to share their beautiful property and surrounding gardens with visitors.
Upon arriving we were greeted and welcomed so warmly by them and Roger had baked us a delicious welcome cake. Weâd ordered a meal which was cooked by Roger to 5 star restaurant standard and the dishes were then cleared away for us. The property is beautiful, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is in a very peaceful location - ideally situated with a short walk (around 10 minutes) to the spectacular South West Coast Path leading to beautiful beaches. A short drive away is the Bodinnick ferry across to Fowey, and Polperro, Looe and St Austell are also not too far away. We really cannot fault our stay at all and, as experienced cottage holiday renters, Pendower House has to rate as the best we have ever visited. In fact, although Roger and Ian were not a continuous presence during our stay - we left feeling as though we had made some really good friends - and had found a holiday cottage that weâd love to experience again. We highly recommend Pendower House. All through our stay we were made to feel so special and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Poor kitchen equipment for cooking, lack of decent glasses. No actual wine glasses they were plastic. The tumblers were chipped. No Sonos speakers as in description. So no personal music could be played. The entrance door to roof top was stiff and subsequently cut hand, the floor was filthy and slippery to the stairs of the rooftop. The karcher should have been put away. The welcome book was not easily found, the information on rubbish and recycling was not clear. Disappointing that no equipment was in the upstairs kitchen so has to split what little was available downstairs. The freezer in the utility room couldn’t open properly due to the toilet so it wasn’t very clean inside and the door sharp where it was broken previously where I’m imagine people were trying to put things in there. Finally the flooring by the sink in the downstairs kitchen is a trip hazard and numerous times there were accidents where the flooring had lifted. The tap in kitchen is broken. And also we had the plumber out to fix the bath tap as it had broken.

What a wonderful place to stay!
Location, facilities and cleanliness absolutely perfect and the hosts Roger and Ian really are the nicest people you could ever meet! We loved our chats and their recommendations whenever we bumped into them in the grounds. The home-made cake, home-grown tomatoes, local eggs and other items left for us were wonderful. Our Cocker Spaniel was made so welcome and she settled well very quickly. She loved all the fields and the nearby coastal walks. It really is the perfect location for visiting so many wonderful places such as Looe, Fowey, Mevagissey, Polperro, Charlestown, to name but a few. There are also many fabulous dog walks in the area. Roger, Ian and their lovely gardener have plenty of recommendations including the best pasties in the area - Liddicoat Butchers in Lostwithiel, wonderful! We would not hesitate to come back here! We loved our stay at The Coach House.
A wonderful holiday home for a couple and pooch. With the ferry to Fowey just down the road this is an even better location than you might think for visiting the wider area. But equally fab if you want to stay local. The Coach House is beautifully designed. Testament to Rogerâs earlier career and equally comfortable and well equipped. Lots of garden space for the holidaymaker too so you can sit in the sun for every meal. We took advantage of Rogerâs additional offer of cooking a mealâ¦delicious. Your host balances being very available with being respectful and un-intrusive. If, like us, you have a crazy sat-nav, ignore it as we didnât get as far as the point Rogerâs very handy directions kicked in and came all the way from Looe on the tiniest of one-track roads. Put Lanteglos Highway in and when you get there, then swap to Rogerâs directions.

This is a property that I can easily recommend. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped with easy access into town. For a good night’s sleep, the beds are good quality and extremely comfortable. Another plus is the size of the bathroom and the power shower. On arrival we soon discovered that we had an issue with our heating and hot water supply. Cornish Horizons were quick to respond and sorted out the problem immediately. I would certainly stay at 45 North Street again. Although it doesn’t have a view, it is cosy for winter breaks. Summertime, when residents are out and about during the day, it would be a comfortable place to come home to and to freshen up before wandering into town to try out one of the excellent eateries, Sam’s, Brown sugar, The Ship Inn to name but a few. .
