The house is truly gorgeous! Immaculately clean and very well equipped. Stylish and extremely comfortable. I simply didn’t want to leave… the view from the attic bedroom is fabulous and you can also see the river from the main bedroom. Everything is finished to a high spec and furnished practically. A very thoughtful welcome hamper with Cornish goodies and clear instructions about arrival etc. Logs supplied, so we had a couple of cosy nights with a roaring fire. I would return in a heartbeat! There is a parking place reserved in a car park about 10 minutes walk away (2 routes) all uphill and very steep, but it certainly upped our step count and heart rate! But that’s part of Fowey’s charm, steep hills, higgledy streets and great views. Independent shops and great eateries, friendly folk, river trips, Du Maurier, and the cute car ferry which looks exactly as it did 27 years ago! I would highly recommend making Place View your home for your hols.

Beautifully clean and tastefully presented. I liked that the information leaflets were organised and not just a drawer full of hundreds of outdated and duplicate ones that you need to sift through. The welcome hamper was lovely and the information pack was comprehensive. Probably the most well equipped property I have ever rented. A great location, a very short stroll down into Fowey. I would return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation, as good as it gets, only issue is parking so we chose to park in Main Car Park as it was nearer than the free parking offered with the property. This is still a good walk up a really steep hill and steps but would not stop us booking again.
