The property was absolutely gorgeous.
It was warm and cosy when we got there and spotlessly clean. Lovely big fridge and freezer. And loads of things provided that Sykes didnât know, and we couldnât ask directly of the owner so ended up bringing coffee, tea, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning cloths etc when it was all, very helpfully, provided. The garden is secure enough for the dogs to walk around as long as someone stays with them. Beautiful views and the goats are just gorgeous. And of course, Percy the peacock deserves his own separate write up! The only 2 niggles were the double bed upstairs, thin mattress on a VERY hard base. All other beds good though. And no instructions on how to work the oven or kettle. The kettle we worked out but the oven was really hit and miss. Thankfully my brother had come across similar and knew the magic touch. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. Sykes communication was quite good from start to finish, good instructions etc and then the owner himself text me on the day with more detailed instructions and was super helpful in leaving the door unlocked so we didnât struggle in the dark. Really thoughtful. Plus the most beautiful Christmas tree with lights and a lovely cake, mince pies and milk and Prosecco were also left which was a really lovely touch and gratefully received. All in all a great success Thankyou.

Nice house, well furnished (tired in places) and convenient location for travelling around. Brilliant garden for the dogs to charge around. The house was however somewhat personal and the water pressure in both bathrooms was weak. An old greenhouse, and a pile of metal and wood in the garden should really be removed for safety purposes: there is a warning. Path behind house leads to a little woodland area, and then onto town, but runs past actively used fields for cows, so not really convenient to allow dogs off their leads. Another fair dog walk across the road (opposite the garden centre) leading to The Orchard was good, but you have to cut across a quite road within a housing area so again a limitation for dogs off leads, That said, Dunwich Forest wasn't far away, but we did see an adder whilst there so be careful. Overall, would we recommend and consider going again - yes. Note: coming from Halesworth, the house is on the right with a little lay by in front... the house name is covered up... if you get to the garage, turnaround!

Very confusing as instructions incorrectly stated the barn had an orange door, the proprietor had to stand in the road to wave us down as it is a green door.
It was very dangerous pulling out into the road as it is on a bend and there are overgrown trees blocking the view of oncoming traffic, a mirror on the other side of the road would be very beneficial. The vegetation around the barn could do with cutting down as opening windows was a bit difficult. There were no instructions for any of the kitchen equipment and there was no colander. None of this affected our stay though, a bit of tlc needed on it otherwise we had a lovely time. The Guernsey goats and the peacock were lovely. The welcome pack was appreciated with fresh eggs and wild flowers. The barn itself is well equipped for 6 people and it is very central to visit the surrounding areas. Found the nearest pubs are in Halesworth, The King's Head and The Angel. Had a roast at the Queen's Head in Bramfield which was lovely.

What a charming and peaceful hideaway. We spent a very relaxing week walking and exploring the Suffolk/Norfolk countryside, returning to White Horse Cottage with all the comforts of home. The kitchen was more than adequate with everything you could wish for and the King size bed was so comfortable. The cottage was spacious, beautifully furnished with ample storage and a lovely large bathroom with a walk in shower. We have never been to such a well-equipped holiday cottage before. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden which was very pretty with flowers bordering, and the outside table & chairs and sunbed were well used as we had glorious weather. Our hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the welcome pack was splendid with all local items. Definitely a place we will return to.

Willow House was perfect for our family get together. There is plenty of space, all the bedrooms are large, the kitchen and table provide a good focal point for family meals, and the other rooms give enough space to find a quiet corner. It is well equipped and the house folder contains info on everything we needed. The garden is very big and was great for our three dogs under supervision - it is not fully secure for some over-inquisitive dogs! The location is very good. I don't drive. I could walk into Halesworth along the road or the disused railway footpath that runs along the back of the house in about 15 - 20 minutes. Also easily walkable to and from the station. Nearer is an excellent well stocked farm shop. I would recommend for big groups and may return myself.
