We had a nice stay in difficult circumstances after my mum died a few days prior to our arrival.
We've stayed here a few times now and really enjoy the location and hot tub. What we weren't so happy about was the way in which lakelovers handled the situation. I made a request to amend the dates last minute, not expecting this to be acceptable but felt it was worth asking, explaining I was caring for my mum as she received hospice care at home. The initial copy and paste reply I received to my message was, I feel, insensitive in the circumstances. I explained that Beth would use the property if we could not change dates but I would not be able to. Circumstances changed quickly so, after discussing with my family, we decided to travel a day later. On arrival we were told that the owner had checked with lakelovers and been told we were not coming. This hadn't been checked with me at all and was contrary to my message, so the heating had been turned off and though it was rectified immediately and caused us no further issue I feel a message to check our plans would have been more appropriate. I will avoid using Lakelovers in future.

âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ What a wonderful place and wonderful people.
When my partner first shown me this place I nearly ruled it out due to having young children 1 and 4, I thought the out door space may have been an issue. I am so glad we decided to book as it was not an issue at all, was amazing and our children loved it, such a sense of space, playing freely on the grass, meeting the farm animals and even feeding the lambs which our daughter absolutely loved. They gave us lots of ideas for days out we could do in the area with the children which was great and we enjoyed some great family days. And when their day was done and fast asleep, we could spend our time relaxing in the hot-tub admiring the views and cozying up on the couch with a glass of wine and amazing cheese board from a shop they recommended in cartmel (so delicious). I would definitely recommend staying here the properties are immaculate, the people are lovely and the balance of time with the children and for ourselves was perfect. We will definitely be returning.

What a great base for exploring the Lake District.
The property is really well equipped with everything you need for a holiday and more. So much thought has been put into making it a âhome from homeâ. It's the most comfortable accommodation we have stayed in to date! The extra touches, such as supplying tea, coffee, sugar, milk (and the bottles of wine and biscuits) was very thoughtful and gratefully received on arrival, especially after a 5 hour journey from Shropshire. Our rescue Sprollie, Lola, loved the freedom of the clean, spacious and secure back garden too. The immediate neighbours were also very friendly, and clearly used to having ever changing neighbours (some kids popped their heads over the fence one evening asking if we had any children they could play with). Kath was very approachable, making sure we had everything we needed at the start and throughout our stay. Definitely somewhere we'd come back to as and when we are next in the Lakes.:-)

Thank you so much for making our holiday relaxing and part of making memories.
The little touches, supplying tea, coffee, sugar, milk was very thoughtful especially getting in after a long drive from Kent. The kids (age 10 and 13) loved thier stay and the neighbours kids were very welcoming and included our too. Everything was very comfortable and very clean. Providing dishwasher tablets was a kind gesture too. There has clearly been a lot of thought by the property owner into providing an amazing holiday home (not just a house!). The hot tub was clean and in a private part of the garden so you were not overlooked by neighbours. Although we did not have a four legged friend with us and the property allows dogs, there were no evidence of previous pets (only a couple of friendly local cats popping over once in a while for a cuddle). So care had been taken to ensure no dog mess was left behind. We have no grumbles. A family of 4 throughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Lovely stay and we would like to return.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Kath was extremely helpful in the lead-up to our stay and the videos she sent were very helpful. The location was ideal once we found our bearings as it is quite tucked away in a lovely spot. Neddy Cut is slightly overlooked by two similar buildings but all are well separated so it still feels quite private. Slight damp smell at times but this was not a big issue, just an observation (possibly linked to warped wooden boards in the corner of living room, where we presumed the boiler to be). Very warm but this is a good thing when weather not so great. The boiler/ ventilation systems can be a little noisy at times for reasons we couldnât quite figure out (in terms of when they came on). I was also pleased to note that during our stay no work was done on the adjacent building which is under construction. Would highly recommend.
