Our weekend away here was just perfect.
The cottage is well equipped, with everything you need to hand. Inc all kitchen crockery/utensils/washing up stuff/dishwasher/dishwasher tablets/washing machine/iron/ironing board/kitchen roll/tea towels/ linen/ bath towels... I could go on. We really didnât need to bring anything with us, just our own toiletries. On arrival there was milk and clotted cream in the fridge, and a basket with scones, bread, jam and tea waiting on the windowsill. Such lovely touches, that we werenât expecting. The cottage is so homely, with personal items around the home which make you feel welcome Ie beautiful art work, unique lamps and candles. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, which is just beautiful. We are lunch at âThe Mermaidâ. The food was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend grabbing some lunch there. The cottage was a perfect size for our family of 6, being able to socialise in the living area on the second floor allowed anyone who was sleeping to remain undisturbed downstairs. The owner was easily contactable, really putting us at ease during our stay, as we knew if we needed anything we could contact him. The log fire is just amazing, really makes the cottage cosy and warm. There were plenty of logs left for us at the cottage, but because we wanted to keep it burning for long periods we nipped to Aldi to pick up some more treated logs. A taxi to Newquay town centre took 5 mins and cost £9.50, and we were able to order a take away âIndianâ from Newquay that delivered free of charge. We had a really lovely stay and would definitely come back. We will also be recommending this to our family who are looking for a summer holiday vacation. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

This is the second time staying at the Sunset view, the first time was excellent hence why we booked it again this year.
However, upon arrival it appears that the time taken to clean the property has been cut, or the cleaners are in the habit of cutting some corners. Some of the things we reported to Sykes was, dog faeces had been left on the decking area, mould found in the bottom of childrens cups and the cooker rings were dirty. Findind dog faeces on the decking area is totally unacceptable. I picked the mess up straight away as my 5 year old lad almost stepped in it. Sykes offered to come and clean the other issues however the cleaners arrived at 6pm whilst getting the kids ready for bed which wasnt convenient. During our stay we also found that the hot tub was full of dead woodlouse and had an oily film on the surface, giving the appearance it hadn'tbeen cleaned for a while. Again Sykes came round and cleaned the hot tub and refilled it, this was halfway through our holiday. Upon our last morning, and whilst cleaning up before leaving, my wife moved the door mat in the kitchen to sweep the floor. On doing so she found quite a few mouldy old crisps. It appeared previous occupants had swept their mess under the mat and the cleaner hadn't found them. Whilst I complained to Sykes at the beginning of our holiday, they were fast in rectifying the issues and they couldn't apologise enough. Whilst we had an enjoyable holiday, we won't be booking Sunset View for a third time.

This lovely holiday home was in a perfect location, 5 mins walk from the beach/The Mermaid Inn (serving good food).
A couple of days prior to arrival Sykes called to say the Hot tub had been broken by previous guests. We requested a partial refund, which unfortunately Sykes really didnt want to get involved with. After some insistence on my part they contacted Ian (the owner) who agreed to reimburse us a reasonable sum. We felt Sykes really didn't want to know (goodness knows what would of happened had there been a bigger problem). Saying that really couldn't fault how the Owners dealt with us. Lovely scones/cream on arrival and some lovely touches / artwork. There were just a few MINOR things, which in our opinion would improve the house greatly. 1. A bit of a lack of utensils 2. Some sort of unobtrusive blinds would give the lounge a more cosy feel in Winter. 3. Felt the bedroom curtains/poles were a bit cheap and cheerful (very thin and awkward to pull) There was only on real thing I would mention, that is the single bedroom mattresses were awful. My 13 year old daughter could feel every spring, so much so, that we took sheet off and had found a couple of spare duvets to put on top of mattress which helped. Better quality mattresses needed!! We had a fantastic time and in all honesty it was just a shame about the bed. Would definitely return, just please invest in some new mattresses... would make all the difference.

The caravan is absolutely lovely.
We felt comfortable and at home instantly. Despite being dog friendly, dogs are not allowed on the furniture so something to think about if yours are used to this. We had park maintenance people enter the caravan unannounced shortly after arriving which was a little unsettling as they unlocked the caravan and let themselves in. The outside deck and furniture wasnât cleaned and weâd have appreciated extra toilet rolls, washing up liquid or dishwasher tabs to be included in the caravan as these were an extra expense that we didnât need to take home with us. A fan would also be good for hot weather as we had to lug ours from home or wouldâve needed to purchase one whilst there. No WIFI in the caravan which we knew but the phone signal is poor so this made researching places, ordering food or even setting up the sat nav difficult. The location is perfect as plenty of beaches nearby but also isnât too far a drive to go towards St Ives/Lands End way or up towards Port Isaac and further. Thereâs plenty of food options and shops for groceries nearby and the caravan park itself is lovely. Overall weâd thoroughly recommend 109 Bude and we will be booking to stay here on all our future visits.

We had a really love stay at Cubert no3.
The caravan itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus, as was the little welcome gift waiting for us (thank you!). The location was good - quick drive into Perranporth one way, or a few minutes more the other way into Newquay. Thereâs a nearby shop in the village with a great little bakery inside selling an array of pasties and cakes. The site was very well maintained with a small play area for children. Thereâs also a decent size swimming pool (you have to book in at customer services but we didnât have any problems getting in). The bar was clean with friendly staff, but a little expensive - as expected for a caravan site. Only two comments which stopped it from being perfect - thereâs no shop on site. Itâs really handy to be able to pick up basics when needed without having to get into a car. Secondly, the WiFi. We rely heavily on WiFi to find places to visit, activities, timings and bookings, but we were rarely able to get online as mobile signal was also very weak. This made it difficult to make plans. Though there is WiFi in the bar, this was also temperamental often needing to be reset. Overall, a lovely week - shame about the weather!!
