      Amazing Peaceful Easter Weekend!

Thank you so much to Michelle and Geoff - I went alone to Buttercup Lodge to 'get off the world' for 4 nights. Honestly, I felt such a sense of peace and was so stress-free, from the first hour I arrived... its just a very quiet, beautiful place.. bunnies and baby bunnies running around every morning on the grass in front of the lodge - very seasonal for Easter! The hot tub was great for 2 afternoons but when the hurricane winds and rain moved in - the log burner inside was even better! All the logs and kindling I needed, and a Prosecco and Lindt truffles left for me to enjoy! Oh and the Easter bunny left me a creme egg too! Everything is EXACTLY as described - ladies, there is a hairdryer if you're wondering and more than enough towels! I will definitely return - its an hour from me but so far removed from city-centre living it could be a different country. I feel lucky to have found it, lodge 3 is being built and the train carriage conversion will be just fab! HUGE thank you to Michelle for being the perfect hostess... I loved it!

      Our stay was perfect.

The lodge had everything we needed and was spotless. The aesthetic of the grounds as well as the interior was gorgeous and so well though out. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, allowing us to feed the sheep before we left. Everyone was so helpful and made this retreat stress free. We loved the many features like the hot tub, the outdoor cold shower, the outdoor hob and log burner and the seating area under the canopy. Although not completely fenced off, the hut feels so private due to the gorgeous plants and trees surrounding. It was a perfect location and so peaceful. Me and my partner cooked dinner all 3 nights and had everything we needed to do so , so so happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to friends and family! Thankyou.

Lodge was relaxing clean and staff were friendly and most helpful.

The location is great secluded and quiet. Green scenery was tranquil...looking out onto the fishing lake and far distant farm land. The hot tub was fantastic...well maintained and that is all I did whilst other half did fishing. At lodge and other fishing areas around the locality. The owner Adam was friendly and welcoming...I would come again to this spot and try the other lodges. Definitely would recommend this place for couples for a get away. Very clean well maintained lodges...A very caring g and thoughtful business which does care about its customers the whole experience of arriving parking and entering lodge seamless. THANK YOU Adam and all of the team at steam lodge for excellent customer care and service.....wishing all every success

Amazing 3 night break in portland hut.

The owners have thought of everything they are so welcoming and go above and beyond for you whilst there. The outside space is by far the best out of the ones we've previously stayed at, as well as the decor and cleanliness of it all.....superb! The communal seating with fire pit is a great addition if travelling with friends and family. We also loved the church bells ringing the time, great for putting phones away and having a little reminder in the background. The only thing we were unhappy with was having to come home!! We have already recommended this place to a few friends and are booking 2 stays again for next year. We can't wait to return!

We had such an amazing long-weekend in ‘Portland’.

The hosts literally could not have done more to make us feel welcome. 10 stars just for them. Another 10 for the property. The hut was beautifully clean and so stylishly decorated. Loved it. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Peaceful surroundings overlooking farmland with beautiful views from the hut and the hot tub. It’s pet and kids tree too so ideal if you want to get away from it all and just relax and indulge. Farm shop nearby and a we found a lovely cross-country walk from the village to Retford nearby, Lincoln is not far to drive either. Will definitely, definitely be back. Cannot wait.
