Meadowside, beautiful Meadowside, well, what a well equipped beautiful 'home from home'.

It had absolutely everything that was required, in excellent quality, and thoughtfulness. Additionally the decor was beautiful, particularly to my taste. Many colours and designs similar to my own, made a special difference! Additional special, a super welcome cream tea, how lovely! We were also greeted by the lovely good mannered dogs, who greeted our own dog with lots of friendly wags! Meadowside has the ability to be completely enclosed with its own driveway and gates, for doggy safety, fabulous! Meadowside has its own abundance of private garden and lawns, for those with children, I imagine a completely safe condition. Beautiful! Just wonderful! A hot tub also, not that we wished to use it, but can I imagine superb for those who like to do. A delightful walk around locally, and even the ability to go down by foot to the lovley Lamorna Cove, but it is steep! We took advantage also of a take away Thai, from a little caravan kitchen, just half a mile down the road, which was superb. All about Meadowside is highest marks, and we recommend it from the bottom of our hearts!

Beautiful place and a beautiful setting.

Firstly we were very last minute yet they facilitated the booking, James, Zara and Roger were so lovely and helpful. Considering that the accommodation is compact, its amazing just how many facilities the property has. The hot tub was amazing and we used it 3 separate nights during our stay. This is the perfect base for exploring the coast line, we did walks around Lamorna, Sennen and Cape Cornwall. Penzance is only a 15min drive where it has 3 major supermarkets, Petrol stations and all the facilities you need. A perfect getaway, doing walks in the day, watching the sun set over the coast from the decking area when we got back, whist waiting for the hot tub to heat up and then drinking mulled wine whilst star gazing in the evening from the hot tub. Utter perfection.

Unfortunately there was a serious leak under the kitchen sink caused by a burst expansion chamber which meant that we had to shut the water valve off and deal with the initial emergency ourselves by disconnecting plugs which had been soaked through.

This left us without drinking water overnight and the fridge had to be disconnected. The property owner arranged for a plumber as quickly as possible for the next day but in the meantime we had to clean up the flooded units and kitchen floor our selves in the meantime and hot water couldn’t be restored until two days later as the plumber told us he had to order in the right part first. We allowed the sockets time to dry out before reconnecting but even then we werent confident from a safety point of view. Unfortunately this did effect our experience and given what the plumber told us about the condition of the part that had blown and the hot water unit we wouldnt feel confident returning to the cottage as nice as it is in terms of location cleanliness and comfort.

The lodge was lovely with lovelly views and the farm was so nice to see the cows /sheeps/ chickens area was peacefull with the lovelly hot tub and near by beach.

The wood burner needs attention as there was to much flame and the udjustments wasnt working i have informed this to two people on site and the person who brang our logs he also saw our logs was just finishing in 10 mins each time we put some in which was a waste. Kitchen everything you needed was there but some pots and pans wasnt in a good condition and not verry clean luckely i had my own things. Beds were clean and comfy but the carpets in both bedroom and corridor smellt like dump each time we went in and i didnt find it hygienic or verry clean toilet needs attention as handle was needed couple of times push to flush also in the book it said settle in we shall come and welcome you but no one came to us other than that it was good thankyou
