At the heart of this most picturesque of villages, River House is a fabulous sixteenth century farmhouse, refurbished to an exacting standard. Perfect for larger family gatherings, this property is a gem in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.

One of the most iconic buildings in Kersey, the Grade II listed River House is situated beside 'the splash', the charming ford that gives the property its name. With its impressive sixteenth century front porch, River House impresses from first glance. Once inside, the welcoming atmosphere of the property is accentuated by the sympathetic restoration that highlights its period features while at the same time offering guests a supremely comfortable and practical stay. With its enormous inglenook fireplaces, welcoming woodburners, wood-panelled dining room, flagstone flooring and beautifully preserved exposed beams, River House is a supremely comfortable stay in a slice of history.

Named as one of the 'best places to live' by Muddy Stilettos, Kersey is a tiny jewel. With the Bell Inn providing excellent food and the retail and entertainment opportunities of Kersey Mill just a mile away, the village perfectly complements the period appeal of River House.

Absolutely first class service. We dealt with three different members of the Suffolk Hideaways team in Aldeburgh during our research of available accommodation, booking a cottage, and checking-in when we arrived, and they were all brilliant, and extremely helpful. We will certainly recommend Suffolk Hideaways to anyone contemplating a stay in Suffolk.
