Our second stay at the Mushroom House.
It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen has been upgraded since our last stay and is very smart. The kitchen has all you need (except a bread Knife?) and it was nice to have milk, Welshcakes and tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. There is plenty of room for two people, the shower is excellent and the small seating area outside is pleasant after a day out, also the area inside by the entrance door. The property is inside what was an old walled garden, shared with some residential properties and is very quiet and private, with its own parking - gold dust in Tenby. There are two steps up to the patio and front door. It is a 5 minute (uphill) walk to the North beach and about 200 level metres to a small, well stocked, Co-op shop in the other direction. We didnât need to use Sainsburyâs. We had only light footfall noise from upstairs. There is very good WiFi and we loved the password on the big stone, we might keep ours on one! As other people have commented, it would be nice to have instructions for the appliances (we Googled the dishwasher!) and, also, if we were responsible for putting the correct recycling things out when the neighbours did (there are very adequate boxes in the property for all recycling). We met the owner on our last day and would definitely stay here again.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Looking out over the harbour. Past reviews state that you are on street level and people look in! An understatement - it's like you're sitting in the street itself - as if you're sitting an outside restaurant table - it's that level of visibility! Unlike a restaurant table on the pedestrian, there is glass etc but it's as if they're not there! But I LOVED IT. I'm from London and people in Tenby - tourists and otherwise are SO DEEPLY kind and friendly and respectful. It's refreshing. Therefore I loved the view and the chance to interact with some whose eye you catch when I'm inside putting my feet up for a while and enjoying the view. There's a curtain you can pull for privacy. It was a cute stay. I had two dogs with me and we could go across the road for this bit of beautiful greenery for them to do their business. This little cottage has so many things you can entertain yourself with! Puzzles, books, binoculars etc. They've been so considerate in leaving things and thinking of everything you might want or need. There's adequate heating etc. So it's perfectly comfortable. It's not the most pristine - think more someone's quaint little home. So bringing in sand from the beaches doesn't make you feel guilty. It was such a sweet stay and I'd like to thank the owners.

A beautiful apartment on the outskirts of Tenby.
Perfect and welcoming with a lovely bottle of wine and some chocolates there when we arrived. Well equipped with beautiful matching crockery (I have seen people complain about some properties where theirs didn't match - sad) Hot water pressure was non existent so we had to boil a kettle to wash dishes etc, however the Shower was electric so not affected by this issue. Only downside was the apartment upstairs was having some work done and they were hammering/drilling/sawing until the early evening. I think the guy doing the work was employed by Pembrokeshire County Council (according to the van) and did nothing during the normal working day at the apartment? The woman who lived upstairs did some joyous celebratory gestures (which she thought we hadn't seen) when we said on the Saturday morning that we were leaving!!! I don't think she was happy that we were using the parking space allocated to our apartment! Not very neighbourly, but as it was the last morning it did not sour our holiday.

Cannot fault the owner for providing so much when we arrived.
Very surprised to find many things we had carried with us were already provided. Including things such as cheese grater, can opener, pegs, toilet roll, liquid soap and condiments. Plenty of crockery and ample storage space. Instructions for use of equipment and recycling regime, well explained in hand folder, also containing maps of area with visitor information. Parking across the way in rail station carpark but please be aware make sure you have permit and ticket now costing £19 per week. I am a blue badge holder which was displayed, approval of parking permit confirmed and believed I had done everything required only to discover a parking ticket and now left to resolve this issue with company who own car park, not British Rail.

Beds were very comfortable, place was clean and tidy.
Easy to get into Tenby. The hot water was not coming out of the kitchen and bathrooms taps very warm, issues with flow as well. Previous experience showed that there was not sufficient items in the kitchen to cook with, although eating out in Tenby is easy with a multitude of restaurants. A chopping board, corkscrew and a baking tray would all prove useful. A folder including some basic information would be useful. I.e. local petrol station with small Nisa store, local doctors telephone number, a copy of the free Coast to Coast magazine which is available in places like Carew Castle and what to do with the recycle/rubbish. We had a pleasant stay and these minor things would help to make it a great stay.
