Typical of most estate agents, the photos of this apartment make it feel that it is bigger than it actually is.
It is also showing its age here and there â a bit of TLC would not come amiss. Whilst OK for my wife and I, it could be quite cramped with 4 adults or 2 children. Unfortunately, the instructions for opening the main barrier to the estate were rather confusing, as two pin numbers were given, but only one is correct. Also, the remote key fob does not work as this system was discarded by the estate some time ago. The hot water temperature was too high, making taking a shower a bit perilous as there seemed to be only two settings, very hot or super hot! I am 6ft 6 inches tall, but found the rooms to be OK, apart from the main bed being very low on the floor. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not that good with a lot of rain and also quite cold, the radiators were just about adequate. Because of the weather, we could not really make use of the two balconies, but no doubt in the summer they would be very good. The kitchen was well fitted with adequate tools, but a larger frying pan would be good, especially as we like eating a lot of fish! We ate in the Cove Restaurant, just below the estate, on our first night and the food here was very good. We did not make use of the leisure facilities, but the apartment/estate, overlooking the beach, is in a good location and the road into Maenporth not too bad. Overall we had an enjoyable week in this apartment, whilst reasonable value at this time of year, not sure we would like to pay more in high season.

What a fabulous find.
We all absolutely loved our stay at apartment number 29 The Liner. From the moment we entered the private carpark at the centre of the apartment building with our own space to walking into the apartment it felt like we were on holiday. The apartment is sparkling clean and has everything you want for a holiday. fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, ice machine, dish washer and every cooking utensil you would need, if cooking is what you fancy doing. The balcony runs the full length of the apartment with views of the beach, sea and beautiful landscaped gardens. Thereâs a lovely accessible path that runs all the way round to the next cove. The beach café opposite serves tasty freshly cooked meals and has a bakery next to it for daily fresh bread and cakes. The walk into the town centre is an easy 20 minutes. So hereâs for the one tiny negative and it is tiny, the noise from the diesel engine running the small pizza and coffee horse box that turns up every morning just opposite the apartment building. The apartment patio doors are fantastic for blocking out the noise of the outside but my sensitive hearing could hear the diesel engine every morning waking up. But thatâs it. Thatâs my one negative. Thankyou apartment 29 for a much needed week away. We hope to be back soon.

We paid £787 for 3 nights and expected more for our money.
The shower room was tiny, the sink was too small for my husband to shave in. The extractor fan ran continually which was very noisy and disrupted our sleep. There was visible mould on the walls in the shower room. The room obviously needs an outside window. The bedroom was dark and depressing and we spent as little time in it as possible. The window in the bedroom opened into the entrance porch and was not an outside window (this was not accurately described in the property details), we were therefore unable to get any fresh air into the bedroom. The bedroom had visible mould growing on the walls and smelt of mildew. the owners were trying to address the problem by placing a dehumidifier in the bedroom which we were asked to keep on at all times apart from at night. The lounge/kitchen was a good size and well stocked, however the kitchen cupboards all smelt of mildew. The whole property was very clean and in a great location. We are frequent travellers and have stayed in many holiday cottages and certainly feel short changed on this one. This is the first time we have ever given negative feedback. We feel a partial refund is appropriate. We felt we paid far too much at £787 for 3 nights.

This apartment was brilliant.
The highlight has to be the large balcony, with great furniture and wonderful view. We spent more time here than anywhere - even when it rains, as very little rain comes onto the balcony itself. Everything inside the apartment was as described and felt good quality and plentiful. It's position right in front of Gyllingvase beach is fab, as it takes seconds to walk there, and there's even a shower in the car park to wash off sandy feet etc. It's a struggle to think of anything negative, I suppose the only thing is that the small park opposite (which is beautiful) can be a bit of a hang-out place for slightly noisy youths in the early evening, but you're going to get that in most seaside towns, and they weren't there late, and the windows in the property were great at cutting out any noise if needed - although we actually slept with the window open every night and got a great night's sleep every night. I really would not hesitate to recommend this apartment - we are already looking to see when we can go back!

This cottage is perfect, the outside seating area is pure tranquility especially in the morning listening to the birds.
The kitchen and lounge area is spacious and extremely welcoming, clean and tidy. On arrival there was a welcome gift of Red Wine and speciality chocolates. The kitchen area was clean and even had tea, coffee etc provided for which we didnât expect. Tom and Mary had sent us a welcoming text and a contact number if we needed anything at all. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away and is absolutely stunning especially at sunset, I would advise to walk down rather than driving down as the car parks get full very quickly. The local pub The Albion Arms are very friendly, recently they have changed to ordering via the App system which failed on the first night and left people waiting for over an hour, hopefully they have it sorted now. Overall the apartment is in a good location and is perfect for couples to escape to the quite village of Crantock. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and I would 100% stay there again.
