What our customers say about their holidays

    • Janet - Verified booking

Our stay at this holiday apartment was truly exceptional!

The host's attention to detail was incredible, especially when it came to the food. She thoughtfully provided a starter pack that included milk, bread, cereal, butter, and some lovely marmalade, making us feel so welcome right from the start. She also added a lovely touch with fresh flowers in the apartment. On top of that, she was amazing with our little boy and even offered to help with our bags when we arrived—a kind and thoughtful gesture that really made a difference. The apartment itself was lovely, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. But what really stood out was the breathtaking view of the beach—we could gaze at it all day! The beach is right opposite the apartment, making it a perfect location for beach lovers like us. Blyth Beach was fantastic, and The Breeze Lounge is a gem, offering fabulous service, delicious food, and great coffee. We also took a boat trip to the Holy Islands, which was another highlight of our trip. Our entire family loved every bit of our stay, and we highly recommend this apartment to others. We can't wait to come back again!

We had the most amazing stay at Revilo Lookout 24-26 Jan to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday. We traveled during storm Eowyn which was gale for winds but it didn’t spoil our trip. On arrival everything outside was secured which I was pleased about. We were welcomed with a hamper which was packed full of treats for our stay and a lovely bottle of red wine and Prosecco. The fridge had milk, butter, cheese and fresh orange juice in which was such a lovely touch which makes all the difference. The accommodation was beautiful, very well kept and immaculately clean. We made use of the hot tub on the Saturday once the storm had passed and the binoculars and telescope came in handy for stargazing at night with a clear sky. We had a wonderful weekend just laughing and catching up, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I knew we would be happy at Shaftoe Barn the moment I walked in.

Cynthia was friendly and I think she really gives the impression she enjoys welcoming guests and her attention to detail in the period property is perfect. It turned out to be a place to totally relax, truly a home from home. We regarded ourselves very fortunate in choosing this as our holiday accommodation, particularly as we are not used to booking on line, as the view was second to none and I was able to make use of Cynthia’s delightful garden, which was private to us, for lunch and reading on two sunny & warm days as the seating area is very sheltered although still affording the view.

Me and my family have just returned from a wonderful break at Revilo Lookout! A gorgeous property with everything we could have needed for a week away from home. The owners added some really lovely touches for our stay and even our Sproodle had been thought of. If you are looking for a modern property, with great views and the luxury of a hot tub (boasting exceptional views) then Revilo Lookout is the perfect choice! It was such a simple booking process with Coquet Cottages and their personal approach to their guests’ experience was impressive. 5 stars all round!

We loved Revilo Lookout! It was perfectly located with easy access to lots of places for days out. The property was so modern and immaculately presented with everything we could want/need included in the property. The beds were very comfortable and we had such a peaceful stay. It was so great to have so many sweet and savoury treats included in the welcome basket which were appealing to families, and going above and beyond the basic items like bread and milk. The open plan layout was lovely, with the doors opening onto countryside views.
