Loved the sea view and Ilfracombe was a good central location to explore bays & beaches in the area. The property was was comfortable and clean & parking out the front not too much trouble. Fees only started at 10am in the morning & finished by 6pm at night. We usually lucked a carpark there at night without having to trek up the hill. The seagull chorus reminded us we were at the seaside. Handy convenience store just a short walk down the high street. Nice coffee at Annie & the Flint. Massive Tesco at top of the hill if needed. Favourite cafes...Beachcomber in Woolacombe with a stunning view and Blue Groove in Croyde. Did a great day trip to Hartland Abbey where Prince William had his stag. Awesome gardens, house tour and incredible coast. Also a day trip to Lynton & Lynmouth where we took the funicular railway. Fab time all round!

The property is lovely, very well looked after and furnished beautifully. The service has been amazing with constant updates and reminders with very clear instructions. The folder in the flat is full of useful information. TV had lots of channels to watch. Parking is very difficult, with limited spaces I'd recommend reversing down of you can, you can also book car parking close by through the council website. Dogs are only allowed on the beach between 6pm and 10am (fine of £80-£1000). Beach is very close by, be prepared to walk up a steep incline (if you have disabled or pish chairs etc). Driving around St Ives is very busy, if you can I'd recommend using a taxi service(I used A1 taxis, downloaded their app) the train station and bus stops are also very close by.

The apartment is compact but that was not an issue, it had everything needed for your stay, although only two forks but 4 of everything else, as a communal court yard this could be tidied up to make it more appealing to sit outside. We travel down to St Ives several times a year, this is the only property we have stayed in that did not provide a welcome pack, a pint of milk would have been a nice touch. The property is near a beach so location was good. A walk steep hill back up to the property but not a problem if you are able bodied. For us the damp was the main problem.

The apartment needs a complete renovation, old uncomfortable furniture, wooden window frames with catches hanging off, rain comes in and draughty. Noise from bar below until 2.30 am at weekends, Odd en-suite as washbasin outside in corner of the bedroom. Wardrobe used for housing two vacuum cleaners, instead of being empty for use of guests. View from window good, but due to condensation they are steamed up a lot of the time. We would not stay here again and wished we had taken note of review on Tripadviser September 2020, things have not improved!!

A perfect stay! The place is a bubble of calm and comfort. The wood-burning stove was already ready for a fire, and despite the bad weather, I wasn't cold at all. Everything is close by, so you don't need a car (shops nearby, buses...). A real pleasure!
