What our customers say about their holidays

    • The F Family - Verified booking

Apartment was fantastic, super clean and tidy with plenty of towels, lovely crisp bedding and the perfect space for a family of 4. The living room was open plan and spacious with 2 large sofas and the most fantastic view over Carbis Bay. We spent every morning sitting on the fantastic windows seats with a cup of coffee staring out at the most amazing view!! The welcome gift was a lovely surprise with local Cornish produce and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge too - perfect start to our fantastic stay! The location is great too - just a short walk to the Beach and the train station which take you direct to St Ives. Or alternatively you can take a lovely coastal walk to St Ives direct from the apartment - which we did most days. Everything we needed was in the apartment, communication regarding checking in and out was straight forward so we had no need to contact the host during our stay. Thank you Cornwall Hideaway for a seamless holiday in the most fanatic location.

Had an amazing week stay at 8 Fernhill. Apartment was fabulous everything you need and more and all so beautifully presented and kitted out. Used the hamper and picnic chairs every day as we explored the coast and stunning beaches. Great selection of books & DVDs for the odd cosy night in. Well worth a visit down to Carbis Bay estates, they have amazing cocktail bar with stunning views Ugly Butterfly and The Orangery are stunning restaurants , well worth a visit. So many places to visit and explore, the owners keep a good supply of brochures (in the sideboard.) Our highlights have been a boat trip from St Ives to Seal Island, Minack Theatre and a tour around St Michaels Mount but so many more. Take a picnic and take the coastal road to Lands End, loads of fabulous villages and coastal walks to do. A real home from home with a little extra luxury laid on. Cant wait to come back and stay again.

    • Mrs Bagshaw - Verified booking

The flat is in an excellent location but it is up a steep hill and 8 steep steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. You are within a 5 minute walk of Porthminster beach and all the shops and restaurants. It has a fantastic shower, the other amenities are nice enough but unremarkable. There is a parking space a 10 minute walk away but u can unload near the flat then go and park. The flat does have a view of the harbour. The oven in the kitchen needs instructions, through cleaning it is anyone’s guess what the buttons do as most of the functions have worn away. We couldn’t get the oven to work, we only wanted to heat croissants so it didn’t matter too much but if u planned to cook it would be annoying.

    • Ms Watkiss - Verified booking

We loved the stunning position of this property with wonderful views over St Ives harbour and the sea, yet so close to the centre and its wide range of cafes, bars, traditional pubs, restaurants and independant shops. The apartment is just right for 2 people. Loved the terrace with table and chairs to enjoy the sea views and the patio windows affording the same view from inside on colder days. Well equipped kitchen. Sizeable shower with good power and heat. Spotlessly clean. Access is tricky if you are less than very physically fit and the parking space is up a very steep set of steps followed by a very steep hill.

We loved our stay at 8 Fernhill. What a beautiful apartment. We were very impressed at how well equipped it was, there was everything in the kitchen you could possibly need, even a cocktail shaker! Amazing views across the bay - we especially loved watching the sunrise from the window seats. We loved having the path starting from the garden which was just a short walk down to Carbis Bay beach. A lovely large living area with open kitchen and the bedrooms were cosy with very comfortable beds. A very smart bathroom. Good storage everywhere. The location was ideal and we hope to return again soon.
