The apartment was well furnished and well equipped with top quality items and brands.
The bed was comfy with a topper but we noted that only one pillow each side had a protector and there was no mattress protector over the topper. Lovely large towels with an extra bath towel each. No bathrobes which were in a photograph of the property we recall. Unfortunately the double reclining sofa ceased operation in the reclined position necessitating a call to the maintenance line. During the call we mentioned that the Tassemo coffee machine wouldnât work as it needed descaling (we ascertained this from the instruction book but didnât want to do this ourselves). Fab large terrace with ample patio furniture but unfortunately it didnât look like the terrace had been cleaned. The property is set on a busy road with buses, coaches etc accelerating to get up the hill. Not overly peaceful to sit out during the day really. The view is a little limited by the trees/shrubs opposite. The owner has thought of everything with sun loungers provided but the terrace doesnât get the sun in the afternoon which was probably when we would have used them. When we were sat early morning on the terrace a resident in the apartment above must have washed their terrace as water poured down just behind my wife. Another resident from above was witnessed shaking sand from their beach bag over the terrace - not great. The apartment is very well situated with a 10 minute walk into town. Less able should note that this is up a prolonged incline back. As keen gym goers access to the gym and swimming pool/hot tub really was a bonus. Overall a lovely stay in a great property with just a few niggles.

We found the Sanctuary clean, comfortable and ideally situated for exploring St Ives.
However, if you wanted to venture further afield without using a car the time taken by bus or train was very long in comparison. Although there were some quality fixtures we would not really consider it 5 stars compared to other properties that we have stayed in. Both the main bathroom and the en suite had no shelves to leave your toiletries on and the main door was very difficult to open/close as it required some of the âhigh spotsâ shaved off. We were disappointed that, although advertised as having Sky Cinema, there were very few, mainly older films, that were available to view. There was a hand written note within the property detail folder stating that it had been abused in the past and therefore the full facility removed. That should be updated in the on line description of the property. Also Netflix asked for a subscription when selected; which should also be amended in the property description. We did have one issue when the toaster tripped the main circuit breaker for the electrical sockets in the property. It could not be reset, as normal, and there was no power to any electrical appliances, fridge/freezer etc. However, once reported the problem was resolved within a couple of hours.

We absolutely loved our stay at The View in August.
A fabulous apartment with a short stroll to St. Ives Town Centre ... and even shorter to Porthminster Beach, which allowed our little dog to have fun before 10am and after 6pm, which suited us fine. Lovely touches at the apartment which were a big plus for us - the Bose speaker in the lounge, gorgeous Ritual reed sticks which smelled divine on entering the apartment, Tassimo coffee machine and really useful little baskets dotted in the bedroom and hallway for shoes and bits and bobs. Balcony furniture very comfy and the whole apartment was so well equipped we only ate out twice. We did go to the Harbour hotel to take advantage of the Pizza offer but were told not doing it that day. We still had lunch there and the food was lovely and we got our 20% off with the spa fob. Public transport was fabulous and surprisingly cheap, lots of regularly run buses to various places and the Open Top Lands End Coaster was a great trip. We also travelled to different places by train and it was all very easy on the Trainline app. A huge plus was the lockable parking space - although not directly by the apartment it was only up the road so no big issue for us.

This is our 2nd visit to this lovely apartment and we absolutely love it.
We always used to stay in carbis bay but we love being in St Ives and like that you are a little bit out of the town so itâs not to busy. The short walk to the town and the beach is perfect and parking is a real bonus in St Ives. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need, the bed is super comfy and I love the big bath. The terrace is also great, our little fur baby loves to sit on the terrace and watch the world go by, as do we. My only little niggle (and itâs minor) is the internet, itâs very slow and a bit hit and miss. Iâm self employed, so sadly have to still work when Iâm on holiday and it proves a little challenging. Plus we couldnât always watch our Netflix too. Weâd love to come for a month in the low season but I donât think I would manage internet wise. So weâve booked for 2 weeks in November to see how I get on and then hopefully we can come for a month next year. Itâs a real home from home and certainly our happy place. X

Very modern and clean property.
Positioned close to railway and st Ives town. Main bedroom superb with on suite shower room. The lounge and kitchen area was well equipped with everything we needed. My mother in law has difficulty with her mobility and uses a wheelchair. She comfortably manoeuvred around the property which delighted her. The additional outdoor area and parking space was a very welcome extra. We had a lovely stay. We felt it was a little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. We couldnât fault the accommodation. We were welcomed with a very thoughtful welcome gift of Prosecco, Cornish apple juice(which was gorgeous) biscuits, milk, tea and coffee. They even left a packet of dog biscuits. Unfortunately we lost our dog before we could take her away with us, but we really appreciated the thought. The whole area was very dog friendly for those wanting to take their dogs on holiday. Most shops and pubs allowed dogs. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
