What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Marie Wernham - Verified booking

Great location in Central Cromer with extremely useful off-road parking. Fantastic array of kitchen stuff (large selection of pots and pans, allowing us to cook a full Christmas meal). Christmas tree with lights provided, which was great. Very comfy sofa. Tastefully decorated. Stairs and upstairs carpet nice and comfy (good for the baby crawling around). Some teething problems when we arrived (2nd double bed not made up & microwave broken) but these were resolved within about 24 hours. Obvious areas of the house well cleaned, but would benefit from a deep clean in the less obvious places like behind furniture / especially under the sofa. The wide angle photos make the living / dining area look bigger than it actually is, particularly in winter when you are not likely to be using the outside patio. Bit of a squeeze to have 5 people comfortably round the dining table. If - like us - you arrive after a long journey with a cranky baby and it takes you a while to find the house instructions: the baby bed is folded up on the 2nd floor; the (folded) high chair and stairgate are in the cupboard under the stairs; the heating works via a thermostat on the 1st floor (cold when we arrived, but warmed up quite quickly, although it takes longer for heat to reach upper bedroom). No other baby/ infant stuff so bring your own plastic plate/cutlery etc. Springs on the upper bedroom mattress starting to become uncomfortable: would benefit from a new mattress or at least a mattress topper. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, found the location great, and appreciated that the initial issues were resolved quickly. These are just some suggestions to help improve the experience for others.

“Nice property well suited for supermarket and a short walk to town. Property contents look new so we thought it was a new rental. All three bedrooms were used and only a couple of issues which were not insurmountable. 1/ one bedside light not plugged in which required bed to be moved to get to the switch behind headboard, 2/ very nice thick duvet on double bed but when due for renewal change to king sized duvet. Movement during night meant one of us had a cold backside. Heating is a bit unusual to control but worked well. Cooker very good and quick as was the toaster. Bathroom shower worked well but screen only supported at bottom and one edge so could see a breakage if care not taken. Couple of minor issues to bathroom, hole in wall at end of bath and finishing around window. Neither detracted from the holiday.Adding a top support would rectify any issues. Dishwasher was good but washing machine not trialled.
Sofas were comfortable and the 53” smart tv was a bonus. Garden would be nice during warmer weather. There was noise from the trains at bottom of garden and it was comforting rather than a nuisance. Should be expected considering house name. None of the negatives should be construed as major issues. Very simple fixes.
We all thought the house was well equipped, clean and of reasonable quality. The house was not booked for Xmas and we did hold some reservations which when staying were certainly unfounded. The pictures on the site do not do the property justice. The price was good considering it being over Xmas.
We would recommend you take a stay at Railway View, I certainly believe you will not be unhappy. ”

“It’s very easy to find and within walking distance of Morrisons supermarket and the train station. On arrival, you’ll find the Drive is only suitable for one vehicle. Is it a bit of a slant and sometimes neighbours park across the road which isn’t terribly helpful, but all in all it was manageable
We also found an extensive welcome pack made up of local Norfolk items, tea, coffee, oats, biscuits, milk, butter, bread, and jam, as well as a few other things. It was a great welcome pack
The bedding and towels were exceptional quality. Looks like they’ve just been replaced and really were very good .The heating system was very efficient and very very warm so don’t worry about being cold.
The back garden is fully enclosed half patio half grass as per the photos. The cottage accepts Dogs, and I guess for that, that might be the reason why perhaps some of the furniture is more mdf based but then again you’re only staying there for a short period of time so it doesn’t matter.
Everything is there what you need and if you have young children there’s a play area opposite. We found the location exceptionally quiet. You can hear the trains rumble by , but it’s really not a problem at all.
We would go back and stay in this cottage again ”
