Had such an amazing week at 30 Burtons Mill.
The property is excellently maintained. We had a problem with the TV but after speaking with the owner who managed to get a chap out early the following day, all was well. Couldnât have asked for better service. Being able to sit on the front in the sunshine after a âlong day on the beachâ was an added bonus. We have stayed in this area previously and decided to return as itâs perfectly situated with being close to a friendly pub (The Swan) which serve good food and outside pods which can be reserved. Tesco is on the doorstep. Sea Palling is only a short drive away and our favourite beach with only a five minute walk from the car park (short cut over the dunes from the furthest away car park and parking as far away from the entrance) where youll find lots of vacated beautiful soft sand to play ball games and shallow waters if you fancy a swim as we did. The lady next door told us about a Groupon offer for Simpsons boatyard (literally just around the corner) which we took up. Roughly half price 2 hour electric boat hire. Of course fabulous weather can make or break your holiday but we had wall to wall sunshine every day!!!If I have one issue it is the road noise but other than that itâs top marks out of all the properties weâve stayed in over the years in and around the area. Thank you.

A really good property that was accurately described and made for a great stay.
While I wasn't sure how the table and chairs in the front garden would work out, we were pleasantly surprised to find itâs actually very discreet as the house is at the end Burton Mills with no passing foot traffic. Clever use of laurel means you get privacy without loss of sunshine. It was also our first time using Sykes for a holiday rental and everything went very smoothly from booking to arrival. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in the north east Norfolk area. Town has supermarket, butchers, cafe and pub and a very popular fish and chip takeaway (queues on a Friday, so get there in plenty of time!). The back garden is largely in shade, but it proved a good place to store our bikes (you might want to bring a padlock to make the back gate extra secure). The property does back on to the A149, but the traffic noise did not concern us unduly. Great location, smart, well-presented home.

Firstly âThe Annexâ is in a great location, everything we needed was in the local area.
If you do decide to explore Norwich City centre, thatâs also very close, about a 10 minute drive away. Jeff and Tanya provide all youâll need for a comfortable stay. The welcome hamper was much appreciated and even included a bottle of wine and fresh eggs from the little ladies who live in the garden. Ah yes the garden, absolutely fantastic, deer, birds, reptiles, squirrels, water features, and about 3 acres in total to explore. Lots of seating areas, tranquillity with a capital T. If you can drag yourself away, superb garden centre minutes away, easy access to the coast about 30/40 minute drive, access to The Broads at Wroxham about the same, the roads are delightful to drive. Lots of tourist information is provided along with eateries, bus services if required, just about everything. Perfect hosts, enjoyed our many chats with Jeff in particular, it was very much like visiting old friends.

We had a great, quiet stay at the Annex.
We were pleased with all the amenities and the comfort of the place, and the hosts were very welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to do our cooking, and the hosts provided a lovely welcome hamper with wine, bread, milk, and eggs. The bedroom had an excellent array of shelving and closet space for the two of us and many lighting options. The detailed notes and maps of links and nearby locations of interest that were provided were handy as we traveled around the area by foot/bus. The property is right near a direct bust route to Norwich. The garden was expansive and great fun to explore; I loved the monkey puzzle tree, all the hidden seating nooks, and, of course, visiting the ex-battery rescue hens. We had a great stay here over our anniversary week - it was just right for us, and we would certainly stay here again.

This was our second visit to âThe Annexâ Jeff and Tanya are great hosts.
Nothing is too much trouble, and the accommodation also benefits from personal touches such as the welcome pack and various other goodies. It is very much like home from home. The location is great to get out and about, itâs on a bus route if thatâs your thing, and Norwich City centre is easy to navigate with a great variety of major retailers and independent outlets. There is a bustling outdoor market, and a visit to the Cathedral is a must, lots of information posted on line. The weather wasnât so kind to us this time, we missed our cuppaâs in the huge garden, but we saw lots of deer on our travels, and enjoyed visiting various locations on the Broads. There are lots of local eateries a short walk away, so we were spoilt for choice if you fancy a rest from preparing meals.
