What our customers say about their holidays

Wonderful house with all amenities provided.

Four really good size (and quirky) bedrooms, all with good sized TV’s. Two large sitting rooms, first and second floor with large TV’s. Very large family bathroom with roll top bath and good shower on third floor, roll top bath on fourth floor with sink a toilet. Downstairs cloakroom. Extremely large kitchen with everything you need provided, including bottle of milk, butter and six eggs. Well maintained hot tub. All together a really lovely stay, being close to the train station and shops. My only negative comment would be that the small garden and furniture need some TLC. Parking wasn’t too bad as managed to get both cars parked up outside, with the scratch cards in the window, for the duration of our stay. There is a park at the top of Newton Street where you can take your furry friends for a walk but it is very steep and dogs must be on a lead. The other park, where dogs are not allowed, is absolutely stunning and worth a walk round. All together a really lovely stay and highly recommended. Great communication with the owners too.

Fantastic stay at Trillo house for a family get together.

Lovely little touches of bathrobes for all, toiletries in the bathroom, wireless charging beside clocks and even a birthday balloon and cakes for our arrival. The beds were all so comfy and the kids were in awe at the size of the TV's. There was a hiccup with the hot tub on our first night but a call to the owners and it was sorted within the hour-great response. Trillos house is ideally located for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area and has a lovely mix of an older house with some modern furnishings. Two things which let this big property down are no allocated parking (however saying that we got parked up the street okay) and only one shower room for 8 people. Another suggestion to make the stay easier would be some additional cutlery and some plastic items for use outside-we didn't dare take glass in the hot tub. Would definitely book again, thanks for a lovely stay.

      What a fantastic property!

We made the mistake of trying to park in the streets either side which resulted in a very tight 3 point turn and reversing down a very tight street with cars on either side. We then realised we could use the scratch card in other areas and parked, after unloading the car, about half a mile away. The property itself was fantastic and very clear with a welcome pack of Prosecco, bread, butter, jam etc, and had all the equipment we required. Make sure to take cooking oils, condiments, herbs etc. The stairs were a little challenging but the rooms were elegant and comfortable. Trillo House made a great base for exploring Whitby! Don’t forget to try the fish and chips!

Trillo house was immaculate and beautifully presented.

Totally exceeded my expectations, our hosts were very kind and left a beautiful arrival gift of fresh coffee, local biscuits along with a bottle of prosecco, fresh flowers and all the essentials needed. The location is ideal and a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of whitby. Would highly recommend this holiday home for a large party, loved the two living room areas, plenty of space for everyone. Netflix in every room was an added bonus. The hot tub was checked regularly. We found parking quite easily in the street above and below the home. Thanks again for all your help and making our stay so comfortable.

We all really enjoyed our stay at Trillo house.

The house is centrally located and the hot tub an added bonus. We had a wonderful hamper on arrival - thank you Edwin and Izzy. There are 2 drawbacks of the house but the positives definitely outweigh these and were manageable. One, the lack of nearby parking. We were provided with passes for 2 cars for on street parking but spaces were hard to find. The other one is there was only one bathroom which for 7 people was frustrating at times, although there are 2 toilets. We were aware of these issues when booking however and they didn’t deter us and we would definitely consider returning to Trillo house in the future.
