What our customers say about their holidays

    • Rachael - Verified booking

The property was very clean and the furnishings and fittings were of a high quality.

The beds were comfortable, white good in good condition and the apartment was very spacious We particularly enjoyed the harbour view which is slightly obscured by the flats to the left in front but this did not spoil the view. (Fortunately they left their curtains closed most of the time or this could have been intrusive) The position of the flat was very convenient for the town, harbour and beach. The underground parking was an issue. I had contacted Sykes and been put through to “Dream Cottages” (who were managing the property) before we arrived. I had read other people’s reviews of a free parking space and a parking permit for The Nothe car park, but was firmly advised neither were available any more. On arrival we found a key for the underground car park and details about its use. This was frustrating as we had read it was a tight space and would have come in a smaller car had we expected to have access to the space. Other holiday makers complained about the difficulty getting their cars in and said without our unused space they would not have been able to get their cars in. Parking at The Nothe was £6 for 24 hours and could be paid via an app so was very easy When we had a minor problem “Dream Cottages” dealt with it very quickly and efficiently I would recommend this property

Superb property equipped to a very high standard. We would not hesitate to return again. One or two comments regarding cleanliness: - a 3” diameter spillage on the shelf of the freezer had mould growing on it (lack of care by previous occupant and not checked by housemaid) - top surfaces of nest of tables were marked sticky Other than that the cleanliness - particularly the bathrooms - was very good. Green plastic chairs on the terrace are a bit tired and do not feel very safe to sit in. No plastic bags provided for linen and towels, so we improvised and used bin liners! Output from showers is disappointing - the water does not project much horizontally from the rose meaning one has to lean over the mixer to get wet! This is presumably due to the water pressure. However the thermostatic control is very good. Curious arrangement regarding rubbish disposal! Residents have separate bins for recycling, whereas holiday makers have one bin for everything so no chance to recycle! The above are only minor points and we had a wonderful holiday in a superb property.

Lovely accommodation = right in the centre of Dartmouth, so great location.

Parking was an added bonus. Only two small criticisms - one being that there was a bit too much furniture in the main room. This was probably because we needed to use the sofa bed - and so we felt we were always moving tables to be able to put up and down the sofa bed. The other criticism is regarding the rubbish. As we are expected to empty all the bins and follow the recycling requirements in the town, providing something to dispose of the rubbish would've been useful. For what we paid for a weeks accommodation, I felt a bit aggrieved that only one bin liner was provided for a family of 5 for a week. In spite of those niggles, the accommodation was well presented, with plenty of storage space and was well equipped. Would definitely use again as the location was fabulous for exploring Dartmouth and the surrounding area

Apartment 10 is lovely well positioned and equiped, secure parking is a bonus so will definitely be booking again.

On the down side burners on cooker were caked with gunge and surfaces of cupboards above and next to cooker very sticky. Oh and Garage key fob not working so had to manually open and close every time. C&C in Dartmouth very efficient sorted heating out straight away on the Monday after we reported was not working so 5 stars. Unlike their head office who on the Friday previous spent around 1 1/2 hours either on hold or unable to get through before finally being told someone would ring me back later that day to sort out after hours key collection but nobody did so had to try again on Saturday before arriving the next day. Thankfully the person I spoke to this time sorted it in less than ten minutes so only 1 star for service but that's 2024 isn't it no customer service.

Excellent apartment in the middle of the harbour with lovely views over the marina Spotlessly clean and fantastically furnished great location to explore the Jurassic coast with the best fish and chip shop (the Marlborough) within eyesight from the balcony Only downside is that the parking is not very well designed for getting in and out of unless you have a really small car but there is a good car park at The Nothe by the fort over the other side of the harbour (10 min walk) which is reasonably priced especially if you park after 6pm when it’s free till 8am and there are lovely gardens to wonder around too and my daughter loved feeding the squirrels who were taking food out of her hands Would definitely recommend this apartment
