What our customers say about their holidays

    • Lisa - Verified booking

Good points: - Location is amazing.

The apartment is across the road from Weymouth beach. - There is private parking but can be hard to get into the space. See below. - Main bedroom has an en suite bathroom which is useful. - Apartment was spacious and no pet smells or hairs due to it being pet free. - We reported an issue with the bedroom window lock to Dream Cottages and, to their credit, they dealt with it quickly. Not so good points: - Mattress in main bedroom was very uncomfortable. We both left with backache. This is the main reason I wouldn’t return. - The property wasn’t dirty but I don’t think the floors were vacuumed properly before we entered. There was dust and hair all over one of the door stoppers. Kitchen handles felt sticky. The oven was very clean but then one of the baking trays had lots of oil on it. Beds and bathrooms felt clean. There were just quite a few minor things that made me think the cleaning wasn’t very thorough. - Freezer very small. Only enough space for 1 bag of chips. We wanted to buy ice creams but there was no space. - Toilet in en suite needs to be replaced. There were unsightly permanent yellow stains at the bottom of the toilet bowl. - You are advised to reverse into the parking space but what they don’t tell you is that this is impossible if there is a large car parked in the space next to the entrance. I emailed Dream Cottages and sent them a photo of the parking situation. I asked them how we are supposed to reverse into our space with cars parked along Crescent Street and a large car parked by the entrance to the car park. They didn’t respond - presumably because they agree that it is impossible! We were very lucky because when we returned there was no car parked at the entrance. That car park simply cannot fit that many cars. - Noise from apartment above. There is obviously nothing that can be done about this because it’s part of apartment living but you could hear every single step from the people upstairs. There was random shouting in the middle of the night and loud thumps.

The apartment itself is decorated to a high and stylish standard with everything you need handy for a self catering break away with the kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, crockery and even Tupperware for all your packed lunch needs. The apartment has good Wi-Fi and a Smart TV to enjoy lazy mornings and late evenings watching films on the comfy sofa. There is also a large garden area behind the apartments which our children enjoyed having a kick about most days. The apartment is located very close to the stunning beaches and just a short walk away from the town centre, personally I loved this walk along to the beach and we enjoyed berry picking and spotting all the wildlife in the area. We loved that there are many top rated restaurants in the area to visit. We enjoyed time at Summerleaze and Crocketts beaches which were stunning and stopped off to see Bude Tunnel a local tourist attraction which is a hit on Tripadvisor just next door to the Sainsbury’s. A walk along the lake to enjoy a trip in a rowing boat and paddle boarding is also a must. We hope to visit the apartments again next summer. This is a 10/10 holiday for our family.

Had a lovely week in Wards Court 1.

The flat was pretty much as described, clean and well equipped, with speedy wifi. Not sure I'd describe the bathroom as luxurious but it was perfectly fine with good shower pressure. It was a bit chilly when we arrived but that was only because the windows had been opened for Covid airing - it soon warmed up and was very cosy. Enough kitchen equipment for a week's stay, solid plate hobs a bit of a nostalgic challenge, but I knew that before booking :-) Location is excellent. Frampton is a delightful village and Wards Court is right on the Green, with lovely walks from the door. Parking wasn't a problem, we managed to get a nearby space every day. The shop is a 5 minute walk, very well stocked for a village, and is open every day until 7pm, very handy. Can recommend Ley Bistro for breakfast and the Bell for lunch, didn't try the 3 Horseshoes but heard good things about their 3shu pie. Maybe next time.

This was the perfect property for our stay.

You go down 4 small steps from your parking space in to the rear of the property and then it is all on one level which was perfect for us with small children. Very roomy inside, plenty of space for the children to play when we weren't out on the beach which was literally over the road. The parking space was fine for our car however there were some larger cars parked in the other spaces at times which did make it tricky to park/leave the space at times not a huge problem. Only negative is you can hear footsteps from whoever is staying above you, which for the first few days were very late and loud, lots of running about late in the night. But when these people left and new visitors arrived this was less of a problem as their habits mirrored our own. So this could have been more of a negative but luckily it got better through the week.

Beautiful basement apartment, spotlessly clean with all the facilities you'd need for your stay.

The owners have taken great care to provide everything to make your stay comfortable, good quality beds, bedding, towels and a well stocked kitchen area. The car parking space was a huge plus right outside the back door to the property, we have a Peugeot 408 estate and had no problem parking but I could see it could be a squeeze if you had a large 4x4. Perfectly located on the seafront and in easy walk of restaurants, takeaways, bars and convenience stores. The harbour area is 15mins walk away with numerous bars and restaurants but does get a little busy so booking a table is a must especially with the restrictions. The beach was lovely and clean with several lifeguards on duty, deckchairs available at a good price too. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again and hopefully stay at the Bliss. Thank you.
