The apartment was well furnished and well equipped with top quality items and brands.
The bed was comfy with a topper but we noted that only one pillow each side had a protector and there was no mattress protector over the topper. Lovely large towels with an extra bath towel each. No bathrobes which were in a photograph of the property we recall. Unfortunately the double reclining sofa ceased operation in the reclined position necessitating a call to the maintenance line. During the call we mentioned that the Tassemo coffee machine wouldnât work as it needed descaling (we ascertained this from the instruction book but didnât want to do this ourselves). Fab large terrace with ample patio furniture but unfortunately it didnât look like the terrace had been cleaned. The property is set on a busy road with buses, coaches etc accelerating to get up the hill. Not overly peaceful to sit out during the day really. The view is a little limited by the trees/shrubs opposite. The owner has thought of everything with sun loungers provided but the terrace doesnât get the sun in the afternoon which was probably when we would have used them. When we were sat early morning on the terrace a resident in the apartment above must have washed their terrace as water poured down just behind my wife. Another resident from above was witnessed shaking sand from their beach bag over the terrace - not great. The apartment is very well situated with a 10 minute walk into town. Less able should note that this is up a prolonged incline back. As keen gym goers access to the gym and swimming pool/hot tub really was a bonus. Overall a lovely stay in a great property with just a few niggles.

We absolutely loved our stay at The View in August.
A fabulous apartment with a short stroll to St. Ives Town Centre ... and even shorter to Porthminster Beach, which allowed our little dog to have fun before 10am and after 6pm, which suited us fine. Lovely touches at the apartment which were a big plus for us - the Bose speaker in the lounge, gorgeous Ritual reed sticks which smelled divine on entering the apartment, Tassimo coffee machine and really useful little baskets dotted in the bedroom and hallway for shoes and bits and bobs. Balcony furniture very comfy and the whole apartment was so well equipped we only ate out twice. We did go to the Harbour hotel to take advantage of the Pizza offer but were told not doing it that day. We still had lunch there and the food was lovely and we got our 20% off with the spa fob. Public transport was fabulous and surprisingly cheap, lots of regularly run buses to various places and the Open Top Lands End Coaster was a great trip. We also travelled to different places by train and it was all very easy on the Trainline app. A huge plus was the lockable parking space - although not directly by the apartment it was only up the road so no big issue for us.

This is our 2nd visit to this lovely apartment and we absolutely love it.
We always used to stay in carbis bay but we love being in St Ives and like that you are a little bit out of the town so itâs not to busy. The short walk to the town and the beach is perfect and parking is a real bonus in St Ives. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need, the bed is super comfy and I love the big bath. The terrace is also great, our little fur baby loves to sit on the terrace and watch the world go by, as do we. My only little niggle (and itâs minor) is the internet, itâs very slow and a bit hit and miss. Iâm self employed, so sadly have to still work when Iâm on holiday and it proves a little challenging. Plus we couldnât always watch our Netflix too. Weâd love to come for a month in the low season but I donât think I would manage internet wise. So weâve booked for 2 weeks in November to see how I get on and then hopefully we can come for a month next year. Itâs a real home from home and certainly our happy place. X

What an amazing place!
This is our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration break for just the two of us and it could not have been more perfect!! This apartment is absolutely beautiful with the most special view from the private decking. Our daily walks along the beach and paddling in the cool crystal clear seawater was idyllic. We recommend: ⢠The walk to St Ives and back. ⢠Train journey to St Ives or St Erth and onto Penzance for shops. ⢠Carbis Bay Hotel (delicious crab risotto â beach restaurant). ⢠Breakfast bagels in St Ives harbour ⢠Porthminster Beach â saw the seals swimming. ⢠Portggwidden Beach Café Bar â lovely on the beach ⢠The Loft Restaurant â seafood chowder can recommend ⢠The Host restaurant, St Ives ⢠Pednolva Hotel (revisited after 18 years) Big thank you to all people who rent this apartment! People who look after this apartment and look after the décor and attention to detail â so clean!! Thank you all xx

On the positive side Waves is in a beautiful location.
Perfect for access to St Ives by foot or train , wonderful sea view and close to the beach. Lovely spacious terrace sunny and sheltered. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Welcome pack was appreciated. The negativeâs were mainly around the poor electrics. The remote fob did not open the main gate. We used the red disc fob but had to go out of the pedestrian gate to operate it when we needed leave the car park. The lift did not work which was an issue when carrying baggage up and down 32 steps. We were not informed of this until the day we arrived. The round fob did not operate the beach access gate so we were unable to use the gate throughout our stay.
