What our customers say about their holidays

    • Heather - Verified booking

We had an excellent week at The Nook.

Having stayed in a few mediocre seaside chalets over the years, The Nook was a breath of fresh (sea) air, decorated to a high standard with quality fittings. The site itself was quiet (although it was October), with no noisy clubhouse etc. The sea is a short walk away (note that like many Norfolk beaches you have to go down steep steps or slopes to access at any point). All the local attractions were in easy reach, with Cromer, Sherringham and National Trust properties well worth a visit. All in all an excellent chalet and would highly recommend to others. (Note for anyone with mobility difficulties - the double bed is quite low as are two of the chairs in the living room, the sofa is soft, which may be ideal for some but difficult for others to get up from. The dining chairs can be easily utilised instead.)

This chalet is a nice base, great location for the village and walks around the area and coast.

We found the chalet has limited sockets and when we moved the double bed to get to the sockets behind it we found mould spores. We had to clean the bathroom when we arrived. There was no bottle opener. The DAB radio in the kitchen did not work. There is no shaver socket. We noticed lots of cobwebs behind the blinds and when we moved the tray on top of the fridge a large spider appeared and went under the fridge. When we moved the bin in the kitchen to empty it there was a spider hiding behind it. Other than this we found dog biscuits, cake, milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, vinegar and the village has a nice beach cafe and two chippies. Can recommend.

The chalet facilities were exactly as described and the photographs were very accurate.

It was immaculately clean, tidy, and welcoming. All equipment functioned as it should. The site is well laid out and reasonably well maintained. The village possesses most of the features and facilities that are necessary to support a holiday for an average sized family. The bathroom mirror is smaller than we would have liked but there are good sized mirrors in both of the bedrooms. There is no shaver socket in the bathroom but fortunately we had taken the precaution of taking an adaptor plug. All in all, we had a great time in North Norfolk, in Mundesley, and in the chalet. Our thanks to the owners and to Sykes.

A lovely property, so nice to arrive and have all the provisions supplied.

Tea, coffee milk etc. Also a supply of other necessary bits and bobs, cleaning, paper towels, loo rolls and even shower gel, I wish we’d known about that, saves taking so much stuff. Beds were comfortable. Good enclosed parking and very quiet. The only criticism is the shower. Temperature and pressure not only varied on your use but all your neighbours use. Trying to keep a constant temperature was impossible, either skin blistering or freezing. It varied so much during each use, constantly having to re adjust. Despite the shower, we’d happily go again.

A well equipped cottage with clean bed linen and towels.

A peaceful location which is close to the beach. The surrounding gounds are very well kept and the residents/guests are very friendly and welcoming. Sadly, the fixtures and fittings, especially the bathroom, are showing signs of age, they are very very tired and in need of a face-lift and a really good clean. The double bed is a little small. Mundesley is a lovely seaside village great beach and super dog friendly. Nice pub/club and Chinese takeaway. Overall we would recommend and we enjoyed our stay thank you.
