What our customers say about their holidays

    • Gina, Holly and Siena - Verified booking

We have had a lovely week in The Cabin, it is homely, warm, inviting and beautiful. We are regulars to Wells, in fact for the last 15 years. We have stayed at Pinewoods many times and different cottages around the Quay and this has been the best by far! We could quite happily move in and stay forever. A message from Sienna: I love this cottage! I have this app on my phone where i can post videos on social media. I had some photos where the lighting was amazing and all my friends said the cottage looked really nice, so you don't have 3 people that approve, you have 72 people! Anyway, my bed was really comfy and the bathrooms were in lovely condition. I really hope we can come back to the cabin again soon, Siena (aged 10) and my teddy Mia.

We first stayed in The Cabin 2 years ago and were booked to return last year but of course Covid put a stop to that! Norfolk Hideaways handled it all so well and gave us the option for rebooking for this year even with a discount! Having so enjoyed The Cabin before we didn’t hesitate. We’ve always loved North Norfolk and especially basing ourselves in Wells. The Cabins location is excellent and having off street parking in Wells is a huge bonus! It is spacious, uncluttered and comfortably furnished with a delightful, private, sunny courtyard, ideal for those leisurely breakfasts. For those relaxing evenings in we so appreciated the new fire stick for the TV and the only thing lacking ….. a pizza cutter! We will return again one day.

Only discovered The Cabin when our previous cottage couldn't accommodate us, but what a find! Spacious and comfortable with a lovely large courtyard garden. Also so close to the quay with its shops and restaurants. We come to Norfolk, especially Wells, every year. We love the beaches, Wells and Holkham, the quaint villages - Blakeney, Burnham Market, the Walsinghams, and the wonderful countryside. Our lab Bonnie loves it too! Sands Restaurant and The Crab House we would highly recommend. The Crab House you need to book at the beginning of your stay or you wont get a table. Would love to come back again next year but gather you only take one dog - next year we will have two!

We stayed in South Lodge East last year and had such a wonderful time that we couldn’t wait to come back. The estate is as amazing as we remembered but Palmers Lodge was a big disappointment. The downstairs of the property was cold and damp in spite of putting the heating on. The bathrooms were grubby and cold. There were spiders and bugs everywhere. Our clothing smelled of damp. We were basically very uncomfortable -even the bed seemed damp. The welcome pack would have been more useful if it included a small loaf of bread and a pint of milk. I expected much more comfort from this property and I do not think it is good value for money.

What can I say - what a fantastic experience staying here. We were greeted by Christine who was very lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. Upon arrival - we received a hamper full of really nice goods, which was a very lovely touch to our stay. The bed - I would say it was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The location is so central and a very quick walk to the local pubs/restaurants as well as the high street, including the quay. I can’t recommend this place enough. Me and my partner wish we booked for an extra night as one night here wasn’t enough! Would 100% stay here again when in the area.
