    Holiday cottages in Crediton

Holiday cottages in Crediton are often popular with German and Dutch tourists thanks to the area's association with Saint Boniface, who was born in the town in 680 AD and today is the patron saint of both countries. A cheerful and lively market town, Crediton is also known for its bustling small businesses and imposing red sandstone church, the Parish Church of the Holy Cross. Visitors can explore the spiritual attractions or enjoy browsing through the many local shops.

The food and drink in Crediton is a big draw too. The local creamery and dairy supply almost every restaurant, café and coffee shop in the town. The high street’s chefs frequently shop at the farmers' market and you'll find their purchases on the evening's menu. Foodies will enjoy the plentiful range of produce available.

At Snaptrip we offer thousands of choices that can be browsed in real-time on our site. Our customer care team is always around to help, and we have loads of special offers. Bookings are backed with our best price guarantee.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Penelope - Verified booking

Posbury Lodge is a delightful property.

Both inside and out everything has been thoughtfully considered by Ruth the owner who lives nearby and is very welcoming. We were greeted with a delightful provision of homemade scones, cream and jam, teabags , freshly ground coffee and the most amazing homemade chocolate eggs . As dog owners the garden was a joy as the fencing was completely secure and a really much appreciated touch was the outside Butler sink with hose to wash off the muddy paws . In the garden are well marked store cupboards for logs to purchase with an honesty box and another for the recycling and composting bins. The other lovely feature is a great games room accompanied with a hot tub on a terrace , although we did not use either in our stay , these would no doubt be a great bonus to guests relaxation. The inside layout of the cottage flows well with a lovely large double bedroom and single bedroom downstairs and upstairs an attractive double and twin rooms. There is a public footpath nearby for dog walking from the property. We very much enjoyed our stay here and explorations around the Devon countryside despite the week of rain .

The cottage was an absolute dream to stay in, it was so nice to get off of the roundabout of city life and experience total peace and quiet and not a street light in sight or the sound of any cars.

Although we didn’t see them very often the owners were helpful if you needed them. The cottage was very well equipped and tea coffee etc was provided. Tea towels washing up liquid and cloths were also provided there was also good quality towels supplied. Basic condiments were on hand to use salt pepper vinegar etc although I’m not sure if the owners supplied them or they were left by other visitors to the cottage. There was no tv in the cottage which we was not too bothered about but it would of been nice to have the choice. There is no local shops i think the nearest one was about 6 miles away so if you intend to cook make sure you come armed with your supplies. Our dog loved the freedom of the walks and running about in the fields which the owners are happy for you to explore. We would definitely return to salters again.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this gorgeous cottage.

It definitely exceeded expections, it was cosy, comfortable and scrupulously clean. All the facilities at the lodge were excellent, in particular we loved the Aga stove, the games room and the hot tub was most welcome after a long day exploring the surrounding area. From a lovely introductory email to the amazing welcome basket (the best we’ve ever had anywhere), our host Ruth made us feel so welcome. The location was great for getting to all the places we wanted to see. Particular family favourites were Canonteign Falls and Castle Drogo, both well worth a visit. Our family would not hesitate to recommend the lodge to friends and family and we would definitely like to come back.

      Booking was easy.

The cottage was excellent. As described and we had everything we needed. The owners were available if required and friendly but we didn’t need their help because they had left clear instructions on how all appliances and tv etc worked. Lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. The heating was always exactly the right temperature. The eco friendly measures in place inspired us to buy a book on how to make small changes in our daily life to help the planet. So this was much more than just another cottage. Thank you for the best holiday in years! We might even write to the owners to ask the make of their mattresses because they were so comfortable.

This property has to be one of the best in rural Devon for up to 8 people.

Very spacious lounges with a fully equipped kitchen. one of the bedrooms only suitable for one adult or two children. Unfortunately windows could not be opened in two of the bedrooms. The outside was perfect. The house is situated over 2 miles from Sandford village via narrow single track roads with limited passing spots which were full of pot-holes. During our one week stay we had to back up on five occasions, once over a quarter of a mile to let two very large tractors and trailers through. on other occasions three cars backed up for us. I would not recommend to inexperienced/nervous drivers or to owners of sports/electric cars..
