What our customers say about their holidays

There was a few issues with the apartment, but overall there was a lot of positives, compared to the negatives.

Firstly, without a car, it's quite a way out in terms of the walking distance, specially in bad weather. Secondly, the door lock is extremely stiff, and needs immediate attention, thirdly, the noise issues due the thinness off the walls, your able to hear everything from the apartment above, can be disruptive to sleep. Fourthly, the tap in the kitchen needs securing and tightening up, and lastly, the wood burner in the living room as no specific manual/instruction leaflet for the guest to know how to use this, which the guest/s can experience the coldness of the apartment in the evenings. Furthermore, the heating was timed to come on between 10.00 am until 6.00 pm in the evening, with the rest of the evening having no direct heating, which was extremely cold and chilly. In short, the rent of the apartment cannot be justified positively, it was too expensive, if you take into account the issues mentioned above. The positives however are the beautiful views from the apartment location, the calmness and quietness of the location, and the extremely comfortable bed, very lush and warm.

Four of us stayed at Rooftops from Fri 26 Jul - Fri 2 Aug 2024.

Three of us were taking part in the Montane Lakeland 50 / 100 Ultra marathon which took place Fri 26 Jul - Sun 28 Jul, from John Ruskin School just next door. Rooftop made this the perfect location to stay. We were offered an extra 5 days free whilst booking, which we took full advantage of to rest up and recuperate after the race. The flat was roomy and clean - a home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked and I've made a note of where I can purchase some baa baa sheep blinds and matching lamp shade from. There is a convenient space for one car outside, with additional parking available at John Ruskin School, less than a 5 min walk away. The flat is close to a range of cafes, restaurants, pubs, and shops, as well as the very popular Coniston Water and Old Man of Coniston.

Well what can i say !

Just got home yesterday from a fantastic week in this apartment it was all decorated in xmas decorations including a fabulous xmas tree and even a xmas card with a bottle of preseco a lovely kind gesture . . A beautiful apartment throughout comfy beds loved it On the negative could have done with a washer and dryer in the utility room especially as it rained every day lol fantastic fish n chips 1 min walk as its on corner of building and spar shop is about 2 min walk to garage Take notice it is not for anyone who has mobility issues as you have over 27 stairs to the apartment which is on top floor . We would definitely book again and our toller Broxi loved it and was a very good boy throughout his stay big thankyou

We had a really cosy, comfortable stay at rooftops over Christmas.

Despite the weather being really wet and windy, we found plenty to do from the door and always looked forward to coming back to the apartment. It was surprisingly more spacious than we thought, and we liked the modern (but still really cosy!) approach to the decor. The place was really clean, and you wouldn't tell a dog had stayed there if, like us you don't have a pet. The only thing that we could possibly think of suggesting as an improvement is a washing machine, but we managed a week without and just made sure we packed plenty of kit. The bed was also incredibly comfortable which is a rarity in holiday rentals - this place is really a gem! Would 100% recommend.

      What can we say!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a lovely home. Very clean. All the nice furniture well thought out. Everything you need in the kitchen and more. Bathroom perfect. Plenty of storage in every room. Bedrooms are beautiful and very comfy and the lounge. The views are fantastic from every room. This is definitely one of the best we have stayed in. Lovely welcome pack. Very windy and wet but we had a great time. Lots of wine and good food. Nice people and cosy fires and walks. We will be back. Thank you ❤️ Love the Apples and the Lights and the lovely colour scheme throughout the house.
