What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Billings - Verified booking

We had and excellent stay in Marina View Townhouse. Every you could need for your stay is in this property, including a few fun things like an Xbox and a popcorn maker! There's plenty of mugs and plates and cutlery so some can be in the dishwasher while there are still some left for another cup of tea! All appliances are high quality. Even the cooks knives are sharp and the frying pan still had a non-stick coating (2 things that even a great property usually struggle with). We took our cat, so she wasn't impressed with the dog treats in the welcome pack! However as she is an indoor cat at home, she loved going out into the enclosed courtyard. Parking can be awkward at times and there's not much storage in the kitchen for store cupboard food. The management service was excellent. The back door lock broke. A maintenance person came the same day, at a convenient time for us, to make the property secure. If you plan on visiting Weymouth,.this is a great place to stay.

      Lovely stay at the Studio.

The property is spotlessly clean and everything you need is supplied (no need to bring anything). You can make a cup of tea when you arrive as Penny makes sure you have fresh milk, even fresh flowers on the table & if you are bringing a pet a supply of dog treats. On a separate note the shower did not have much pressure and wifi was very slow. Just my own personal opinion and is not meant as a criticism as the property is lovely and comfortable. We were visiting friends and know the area well but if you need any help Penny is there to assist. Would highly recommend this property and thank you Penny for a lovely stay.

We loved our stay at the cottage, it was so spacious, clean and ‘the welcome pack’ was exceptional. Everything we needed and more. (Loved Nancy’s cookies!) Sarah was so welcoming and helpful. We had some great dog walks, circular walk at Stourhead to King Alfred’s Tower. Beautiful grounds and coffee shop. Duncliffe Wood was perfect for a wet day with walks clearly marked. The cliff top path from West Beach was fabulous, the views breathtaking. Great restaurant/café at Hive Beach. Dogs may need to be on leads as cliff drop near to path. We would definitely recommend La Rose and book again.

Location good with amazing views from the studio, well presented and equipped.

Details on studio misleading as there is not any seating area downstairs apart from the kitchen chairs , settee upstairs which was very uncomfortable it needed padding out under the seats as sunk in the middle. Double doors needs draught proofing as could see daylight through the middle and bottom the cold wind was blowing through so unable to sit at kitchen table to have a meal. I took my dog and as they are not allowed upstairs which is understandable if it was just a bedroom but as its the main living quarters its a bit unfair for the dog to be left downstairs. otherwise a pleasant stay.
